When one lived and died by the streets and by the whims of work one gained a sense for the ebb and flow of the city. Dai could feel the pressure relenting and knew that, soon enough, work could again be scarce. So he made sure to put in at least one last effort to find that which might be of value before the market cooled down.
The results were not disappointing.
