A Place I've Never Known [Day 9, LA, Moriko's]

Yurei will support any plan.

[Kuni Koyuki]

With a change of heart and mind, Koyuki pulls both Hato and Yurei back. Snapping a bit out of her reverie, she finds her grit again. Something she needs for this more than anything else. Gathering them together, she declares the new plan:

"I am going to walk in through the front. Hato-san, and Yurei-san, I ask you both enter through whatever means you deem fit. I ask you both try and locate access keys, or anything that may be of use for accessing the building at a later date. Either would be helpful," she says, and pulls out her communicator. Pulling a fob from it onto her ear and attaching it as an earpiece.

"Keep in contact over communicators if anything goes awry, or you need instruction. If they have camera's they have a security room. Finding that may prove essential. I trust you both, whether you can work together or not is up to you. Just don't let me down," she says, and lingers on that for a moment. Taking the opportunity to breathe easier.

"Understood?" she declares, and gets only a nod from them both before she'd prepare herself.

Walking through the front Koyuki simply goes about her business with all intent to simply visit the home of the woman she once loved.

Entering through the front doors, they would automatically slide open to allow Koyuki to enter. There would be a short hallway with another such door before she entered the lobby. The lobby had grey marble floors with lit glass panel walls and the occasional wood veneer to accentuate the otherwise classy interior. There was a large front desk where two uniformed heimen guards were sitting, attending to various matters around the condo. There was a glass divider behind them and it would leave to another staffed office, perhaps to a superior or samurai.

Shortly after arriving, Koyuki could see one of the inhabitants of the condo (presumably) coming in after her. She was dressed in athletic gear and likely just came back from a jog around the streets or a gym. Making her way to one of the doors past the front desk, she would present her wrist to a panel and enter after the door slid open.

Mental note of the system made while her legs were already moving right up behind her Koyuki leans in to stop the door from closing just as the woman starts to enter. Close enough so that it would catch her attention. Leaving that lingering moment of confusion for all who were watching to let the tension rise. With an all too pleasantly dangerous smile she cocks her head slightly to the side looking at her with that intent in her eye, "I was just coming to visit a friend but- if you're not in a rush could I ask you about your routine? You look amazing," she says, with a half-suppressed chuckle.

The Scorpion jogger would turn to look at Koyuki, looking really confused despite the hat-mask she wore. "Wait, what?! Excuse me?"

Meanwhile a ghost flits by thanks to the sudden distraction. Condo cameras weren't so different to embassy cameras after all.

Day 9 LA, stealth/agility sneak past reception, TN 30 | 9k4 ⇒ 34 (TN: 30)

Meanwhile, Hato continued her search for a possible thing to deliver. Would Koiyuki charm her way into the apartment and Yurei slip into the building while Hato wandered the seemingly empty streets alone and ignored? Who could say?

Plan in mind, Hato goes looking for the nearest thing she can find or buy that one could reasonably make a delivery out of: A cardboard box, a bunch of flowers, takeaway food, or at worst a book.

The streets were rather clean in this part of the city, especially for a section where lower-ranked samurai and heimen typically dwell. However, it wasn't without garbage. It only took a moment for Hato to find the mainstay of any busy samurai's lifestyle, delivery boxes for goods ordered from the network. There was a good variety of them that could be found near the garbage container at the side of the building, many of them still packed with foam or other materials to transport fragile goods. Hato might be lacking a uniform but she very much had the prop in her hands.

As Koyuki was talking up to the Scorpion, the heimen were already getting to their feet regarding the conversation. There were a few signs warning residents to not let in others, not that it was hard to tell Scorpions to not offer the courtesy of keeping the door open for others. However, there was at least a window of opportunity to slip by and it was a very narrow one. Yurei would dart in like a...ghost, moving past both the samurai in question and the heimen guards as they were focused on the situation.

[Hato]

There was always a fuss somewhere in the World of Dreams...but it was funny how on a Scorpion world with as many people as there were on the planet you could never find a witness to the fusses. Hato was going to pointedly keep her head down, and try to carry her box deeper in to the building if it was at all possible. She really hoped the unintentional distraction of a love-striken Kuni could give her the cover she needed to slip in with the box.

A random ronin might have stuck out like a sore thumb, especially a jobless one. However, the box was perhaps a familiar sight for the heimen, especially the stamped logo of a popular retailer on the synthetic-cardboard box. There was only so much a box could do, sadly. Nearly enough....heck it would have likely been enough if she hadn't had to hold back drawing upon that essential connection to herself for what would later be an ultimately unsuccessful heist. Really, she failed the box rather than the other way around.

Pausing briefly as Yurei ducks between them without much attention paid toward her.

"I asked if you might be willing to tell me what you do for your workout routine?" she says, giving a nod toward her workout clothing. Trying with all her might to backpedal toward the safer angle. Smirk was suddenly gone, and her expression turned.. about as neutral as it always dod. While she didn't make the biggest bid for escape right up front she did remove her arm from holding the door open.

Yūrei ends up flattened behind a large fern in the building interior as she whispers into her communicator.

"Minna-sama. I'm in! Uh. Hmmm. I'm going to see if I can find some way to get the fire exit open without alerting anyone."

Which she then does, like a Ghost. Turns out you only have to cross a few cables to prevent an alert being triggered after you open the door

Koyuki could feel a glare under that mask of hers and the woman would only frigidly answer her back. "Sorry, I don't have time for a conversation. Also, you're in my way, please take a step back."

And with that, her interaction with Koyuki was entirely over. She stepped through the door and took a glance back to ensure the door closed behind her. She let out a sigh afterward. Honestly, security should be better here.

"Please stop, minasama!" The two guards from the desk would eventually catch up to them and bow deeply to both the Kuni and Ronin attempting to get in. "Do you have a resident here you wish to inform of your presence? Could we please help with that?"

From the other side of the glass divider, there might have been a Scorpion who quickly stopped shopping around for Nyoko body pillows and looked over to see what was going on at the door.

Opening the fire escape wasn't hard, especially when it seemed that it could open as soon as it was pushed. However, opening it without setting off the same alarm was another matter entirely. It took some fiddling around and triggering the utility menu to unlock the door while keeping the fire alarm function dormant. This way wouldn't be open indefinitely but it should stay open long enough for their visit.

[Hato]

"Please stop, minasama!" The two guards from the desk would eventually catch up to them and bow deeply to both the Kuni and Ronin attempting to get in. "Do you have a resident here you wish to inform of your presence? Could we please help with that?"

Stepping away Koyuki looks to the Scorpion woman as the door closes, offering her a perfunctory dip of her head. With the guards bidding her attention she turns toward them offering but a nod of acknowledgement. "Ah, could you let my friend on floor seven know that I'm here? They should be expecting me. Just tell them to give me a call on my communicator when they're ready for me. I'll be waiting outside," she says.

With that given, she makes like a business minded samurai, and without much waiting for their acceptance as it was assumed, start toward the exit if she wasn't otherwise stopped.

Hato blinked stupidly at the guard.

"Huh? Oh....uh, yeh. I'm supposed to take this to...." she paused as if thinking very hard.

"Oh...right. Bayushi Nomen over at...uhhhh...." she paused again, before listing off an address that was a block away.

She was hoping that the guards would just direct a stupid and lost deliverer of a box out of the building rather than escalating.

The heimen guard would dip in a quick bow. "My apologies, you have the wrong address. This is Laughing Meadows. Sunset Meadows is just down the street."

The guards would do nothing else to stop the ronin from leaving the building.
