D11 LN - World of Dreams' Weirdest Speed Date

[Yoritomo Seika]

As the sky starts to blush with predawn light over Oborozuki province, a sleepy-yet-wired Seika slips into a local bar full of Mantis samurai and ronin coming off of night shift duties, mostly tired and uncurious themselves. House of Storms security is keyed on her comm, but she doesn't expect trouble really--certainly not from the people she's meeting, both of whom she trusts at least as far as she can throw them. It's really more of a contingency in case she gets mugged by some random bandits and the very expensive packages in her pockets get lifted before she can hand them off.

While she waits, it's not too late for a glass of sake. Or too early. Whichever.

[Akuta]

Having recently wandered out of the Desolation, a shabbily clad ronin makes his way into the bar he was told to meet up at with a certain Mantis. He looked dog (ha) tired but was holding it together outwardly. After all, this was home turf and he couldn't look too weak. Looking around, he eventually spots a friendly face and makes his way over to her, ignoring the other Mantis present.

"Oi, Watanabe-hime. You dropped this, I think."

He offers a holoslate for her to take, stifling a yawn as he does so. If she should take the time to check the information now, it would yield insights revealed to the ronin from a little drake, hopefully to her satisfaction.

"Akuta-san. Second time tonight you've been a sight for sore eyes." Seika grins and takes the holoslate, nudging a small bag toward him under the table with her boot.

[Akuta]

Sliding the bag towards himself with his own foot, Akuta uses a surprising amount of manual dexterity to slip off a sandal and lift up the bag, depositing it into his lap after he sits down.

"Mhm. Bit less punctual than I would have liked, but what can you do?" He rolls a shoulder and groans, trying to work out some stiffness. "You got any spare bunks over in that embassy of yours? I don't feel like sleeping nestled into a trash pile."

[Yoritomo Seika]

"Yeah, I bet we can put you up until you ship out." And if someone at the House of Storms wants to get shirty about it, Seika has carrots and sticks at her disposal. "Pack your swim trunks, there's a jacuzzi." Her lips quirk tiredly.

There is a second, similar nondescript heavy bag tucked by Seika's feet as well, ready to be slid across to Dai if/when he arrives.

Just noting Dai's payoff here so it is on the record in a scene, because I may be asleep by the time we know for sure if he can make it.

[Dai]

Having had a chance to change and the lasting effects of magical healing clearing up most traces of the grievous wounds he had suffered there was little physically about Dai to show the trials he had undergone that day. Though something might be slightly different in his air as he approaches the table and bows.

"Yoritomo-sama."

He offers a slight nod to the other ronin not out of impoliteness but out of not yet knowing if he's officially supposed to know and acknowledge that the other man exists. Some clans like their deniables very deniable.
