There was once a story about a samurai of the Komori family. It was said if he had an infinite amount of time to prepare, he could best Bishamon himself.

Sadly, as a mere mortal, Hato did not have infinite prep time. But this was as prepared as she could get without drawing more attention. The was the time when the guards who were on duty were at their most tired, and low ranking personnel filed in to get things prepared for their bosses.

If Hato's preparations were solid, the guard wouldn't be too attentive and she could slip in just another temporary worker.

If she was unlucky....well, one didn't want to dwell too deeply on what kindness the Spider clan would give to thieves.

She walked up to the guard, with the the sort tired energy another employee made their way into the office pre-Dawn and presented her papers.

The Daigotsu samurai, more likely a former ronin, glanced at the papers Hato presented, tilting her head to the left as she tried to make sense of the some of the more complex kanji, muttering 'Well, rats... how do you even..' under her breath. A tense moment later, she returned the papers to Hato, moving to open the door to the young woman.

Hato bowed deferentially, took the papers back and shuffled on in to work.

Of course, since she wasn't an actual employee she was going to have to locate a free workstation that had access, wasn't currently in use and wasn't about to have someone sit down at it.

Hato was a little bit cautious on her search, hopefully the extra time wasn't going to cause problems on the way out. Still, a darkened side office held promise in the form of the hum of an active terminal and a cool screen.

Hato slipped behind the terminal and got to work.

'Good Morning Valued Shadeworks Employee! In the Name of Daigotsu, crush the fools who stand in the way of our profits!'

Hato fingers flew over the keyboard. 'Like a Crane in flight, you must be beautiful and graceful' came the words of her mentor Yonaga.

Hato moved the data into a secure site she used so she could sell it later. From her brief overview, it looked like quite a good haul....now she just had to make her exit.


Yawning, she shuffled her way back out to the exit, hoping her luck held just a little bit longer.

The guards gave Hato's papers only a cursory glance as she slipped out of the building. Sometime later alarm would be raised, but by that time Hato would be already far from the spot of crime.
