Having slept incredibly deeply, Hato made her way back to the area around the Shadeworks HQ. She still had her Susumu Yakumo poster in tow, but spent the afternoon with her holoslates sketching the people and the surrounding area. Visual arts weren't really her thing, but it was always good to try something new.

Heist Prep, Per/Investigation 38 vs. 20, Pass

A ronin who did not listen to loud noises tend to not be a ronin for very long.

Hato turned and bowed deeply to the Scorpion atop her noble steed.

"This one is learning to be one. This one would recommend more talented travelling artists if Lady Scorpion is looking to obtain a well crafted picture. However, this one would be very honored indeed were Lady Scorpion willing to allow this one to attempt to capture Lady Scorpion and her noble steed with this one's own novice efforts." she admitted.

Senshuken laughs. "So you are offering mediocre crafted pictures?" She jokes. "Yes, why not? But a portray from up close might be better." She gets off her bike and approaches. A small bow. And what seems like a smile behind her mask. "Senshuken of the Bayushi."

Hato bowed deeply at the introduction.

"When this one must be referred to beyond 'you ronin', this one is known as Hato." she offered.

"Your steed is quite impressive, Lady Scorpion, if this one's humble opinion is welcome."

"Thank you, Hato san. It is, indeed, an impressive piece and serves my needs well."

She sits down in seiza across the ronin. "What kind of pose would you suggest?"

Hato considered the question.

"Hmm, it would seem impractical to this one for Lady Scorpion to be posed upon her noble steed or leaning upon it without some way to stabalize the steed. Perhaps crouched beside it with a fierce look in Lady Scorpion's eyes?" she suggested.

"That wouldn't make me look cool, would it?" She notes and narrows her eyes while pondering on the pose.

"I was thinking of posting it online, if it looks good, of course. I'll put your name in the post, too. So! You are the artist, Hato san or You-Ronin," she chuckles lightly, "so can I have the coolest portrait ever drawn in the streets of the World of Dreams?"

"If it is within this one's power to give such to Lady Scorpion, this one will do so." she promised as she began working on the sketch.

Hato diligently worked on the sketch for a few minutes.

"Hmmm, this one was unable to truly capture the fierceness in Lady Scorpion eyes properly. This one apologies from the bottom of this one's heart." Hato offered sincerely with a deep bow.

Senshuken takes a look and cannot really avoid bursting into laughter. "

"Oh my, Hato san!" She exclaims cheerfully, "you better seek within you for other talents and by no means don't try to make a living out of drawing!" She continues laughing but it is obvious that she's not making fun of the ronin, she's just happy? Yes, happy, why not.

"May I ask how do you make meets end, Hato san? You are obviously not a professional painter." She asks after a few moments.

Another apologetic bow.

"This one does what this one must. This one sometimes serves as a tour guide, or as an extra pair of hands for computing projects. Much as important lords have done upon the eve upon many an important battle, crunch-time sometimes requires the services of those who are willing to trade their life for coin." she offered.

It was a somewhat dramatic description.....but one a lot of overworked programmers could agree with.

"While Lady Scorpion's lord clearly takes care of Lady Scorpion very well, this one cannot help but wonder in what capacity Lady Scorpion serves their lord." she asked without directly asking.

"Court stuff mostly. Talking to people, making deals, finding talented programmers who are willing to trade their life for coin. The usual stuff, you know." She replies casually. Perhaps this conversation isn't what it sounds, perhaps not. The Bayushi interest is peaked, but it's not that she will say so.

"A very important duty, Lady Scorpion. The arrival of this season's guests have the streets filled with rumors, from bathhouse to zen garden. Lady Scorpion must have her work cut out for her to manage such a flow of information To sort out what is relevant and what is merely the idle talk of the easily amused." she offered eferrentially.

The picture was definitely ruined, but Hato couldn't help but try to picture the mouth underneath the mask. The smile was in the Scorpion's eyes, but did it extend to her mouth? Or were there fangs oh so carefully concealed beneath a stylish mask?

"Hai, it is not easy to tell, but sometimes it is better to just ask directly." The young courtier replies. "For instance." She looks the other woman straight into the eyes. "Do you talk idly, Sato san, or are your words always relevant?"

Hato considered the Scorpion's question, looking at the Shadeworks corporate HQ.

"This one wonders if talk must fall so neatly into only one of those two categories Lady Scorpion. After all, whether talk is idle or not depends upon the intention of the speaker, but relevance falls upon the intention of the listener. For example, this one heard the rumor about Susumu Yakumo being really into ronin. This one believe that such talk was perhaps not idle talk, but deliberately spread. But is it relevant? This is difficult to ascertain. This one would suppose if it mattered if one was concerned as to why someone would take the pains to spread such rumors. To damage Susumu Yakumo's public standing? To encourage ronin to seek her out? Or perhaps it was truly merely idly talk about a famous Spider. Even if that is the case, given the state of relations between Scorpion and Spider, does that necessarily make it automatically irrelevant?"

She turned her attention more fully on the Scorpion...that is to say looked more in her general direction rather than rudely at her.

"This one is greatly curious what an adept courtier such as Lady Scorpion would think on such matters."

Another grin. "I could and I will tell you. After you actually reply to my question. Yes, there is the intention of the listener to be accounted for, but I asked about the speaker." There's an actual wink at this point.

That earned an apologetic bow.

"Ah, this one's deepest apologies Lady Scorpion. This one merely wished to ensure they were answering Lady Scorpion's question properly. This one would say that idle talk is really strictly in the province of those whose bellies are full. Wolves have little time to engage in such...but they do howl at the moons from time to time. Wolves are social creatures after all, even if a society does not accept them. But are such words relevant to Lady Scorpion? This one has no desire to waste the important time of Lady Scorpion, but this one also cannot state authority what is relevant and what is not to Lady Scorpion."

After all, telling a great clan samurai what they should think was a great way to end up dead without the protection of a master.

"Hopefully this answer is of minimal acceptability to Lady Scorpion."

Senshuken neither confirms nor denies the acceptability of the response.

"The rumors about Susumu san were sloppy. At the edge of being either unbelievable or a part of a comedy show. This very fact leads me to think that they might be a part of a commercial campaign. A song about 3 ronin in a boat might follow?" She shrugs. "I cannot possibly believe that any person with an actual thinking mind would spend time to spread those otherwise."

Hato nods.

"Lady Scorpion is very discerning. So Lady Scorpion would rule such talk more than likely idle, but does not rule out the possibility of non-idle. But Lady Scorpion has not yet ruled on whether such talk is relevant or not." Hato observed.

"It might be relevant for another pop idol, a producer or a dj." She shrugs. "I keep all the talk in mind just in case it proves to be of any use, but it's nothing more than a precaution of sorts."

"What do you think? How do you see those rumors from your standpoint?"
