[D2, ME] Music, densai and the view (Open)

Fricking agreements about sake! Sake is for drinking, not talking about it. Abstaining from doing the former, Senshuken found herself unable to do the latter, too. She should be disappointed but, much to her dismay, this not a race, but a marathon.
The young Bayushi had gone to her place, changed into something less formal, a pair of red baggy pants with red suspenders, a black T shirt with a huge scorpion pattern on the back and black sneakers, and quickly headed to the beach.
There she picks one of the less crowded spots, parks her bike and sits down in seiza with her headphones on.

Walking along the beach, where the water meets the sand, a familiar monk is passing by. He has a shell in hand that he likely retrieved from the beach and is tossing it to himself during his stroll. Noticing the familiar Bayushi, he approaches with a smile. "Good evening. I hope you've been well since the celebrations," he says, waving as he gets closer.

"Oh!" She waves back and takes her headphones off. "The perfection of a random meeting by the sea, Taiguno san." She breaths in and out slowly. "I have been well, indeed. How about you?"

"I've been well. Just enjoying the planet and getting used to it. It's a very new and interesting experience being out of the monastery," he explains with a chuckle. "Not that I had never left the monastery, but I never lived outside of it."

"Sleeping around is always better than sleeping in." She comments and laughs.
"Please, join me if you wish. The view is excellent and it is not even raining."

"Well, I wouldn't know if sleeping around or sleeping in is better. I can't remember ever sleeping in," he says with a playful smirk before moving to join her, sitting in the sand.
"Of course joining you and looking in the same direction at the ocean does take something from the view I had a few moments ago. Are you a frequent visitor to the beach?"

The Bayushi chuckles with the veiled compliment.
"I find myself drawn to the place quite often yes. It feels as if there is a huge magnet and I am nothing but a small metallic sphere." She admits. "Do you like the beach?" She pauses for a moment. "I don't think that I asked you the other day. Which planet do you hail from?"

"I'm from Dark Forge originally, in the Blacksun system. I've enjoyed the beach nearest to my temple there a couple times. I'm not quite drawn to the beach like a magnet, but the knowledge that you are gives me a reason to come and enjoy the view more frequently I think."

"Ever so polite, Taiguno san. Even flirty someone would say." The young woman notes and chuckles. "Is it common among monks?"

"For the most part, no. I think that it's really a question of personal preference and interpretation of theological ideas. But if I was not supposed to be a social person, then the fortunes would not have gifted me with attributes that tend to be socially pleasing. So I tend to try to maintain a very active social life, which is not limited to only religious guidance or friendship," he replies with a shrug.
"Sure, there are rules in place dealing with station, but none of those rules say that I can't... mingle with anyone I want. So I do."

The Scorpion laughs. "That's a great way of seeing things. Our best and worst traits are defined by factors that we cannot control after all."
"Do tell me, please. What do you think of the city now that you had the chance to spend a couple of days around?"

"It is a maze with something interesting around every turn. It is the physical definition of the word eclectic. I am enjoying my time here. I'd also say that it suits you and you suit it from what I've gathered about you as well." His observations are given in a friendly but thoughtful manner.
"But I could definitely do with some further guidance and accompaniment around the World of Dreams. There is just so much going on that it is difficult to determine what would be most fun to experience."

"Just say the word and I'll personally make sure that the need to sleep in rises each and every morning." A wink there. "Have you ever been to a nightclub?" She asks. "To dance and drink all night only to go to bed after sunrise. There are hints of perfection hidden in such a night. I can promise that."

"I have, though not here. Visited an oiran house yesterday evening, but not a nightclub. I actually tend to avoid doing so though, as they can be a bit pricy and I have been told my attire isn't appropriate at a few. Also, I don't usually drink alcohol, as it costs money and I don't keep money. In the rare instance that I end up with a couple coins they all go to my temple. I have some when offered at an event or such. I'm much more familiar with dancing, but even that I'm not so familiar with. I did have a regular at the temple that would take me to karaoke regularly though. He was a strange one, but it was fun."

Senshuken raises an eyebrow. "Is it due to a vow of poverty, I have heard that some people do that, or true poverty?"

"I wouldn't so much say it's a vow as much as it is the way I've chosen to live. A coin is a useful tool, certainly, and I don't deride or dismiss it's use to make life easier or more comfortable. But it is a choice I've made to live with a certain level of hardship to strengthen my ability to survive without. Someday, when I learn all I need to in order to survive without the need of my temple or charity, when I can make my way without worry or assistance, I will likely start using coin. Learning survival through immersion."
"But you seem thoroughly plugged into worldly ways compared to me. Doesn't hurt to have someone to call friend that knows and understands things we don't. Sort of how I embarrassed myself a bit yesterday. I met Susumu Yakumo, but because I don't watch news or recordings of shows or take in any visual media really, I didn't recognize her despite being familiar with quite a bit of her music. Not a common occurrence for her I imagine, but even more so for me to meet a celebrity."

"I have a friend who is a local celebrity, a pop idol like Susumu san. If you want my advice, you need to atone for your mistake. Hard." She laughs before continuing. "I'm notveven joking, Taiguno san. It's one of the most serious situations you have faced so far. I would return with a poem if I were you. Or a painting. Or whatever you are best at." She tilts her head. "A real gift. With no money being involved."

"I cleared it all up and she was favorably disposed to my apology, since she's quite fond of Uzuki the Immaculate. I offered to provide prayers and ask for Uzuki-no-kami's blessings for her shows, which she seemed happy with. But then, there is not much more that I can offer other than my own voice really. I've got a fair amount of practice singing. But offering a song to a singer would kind of be like offering wood to a tree," he says with a joking tone.

"Hmmm." She remains pensive for a few seconds. "It's even worse. She might think that you are using her in order to make a career for yourself. How about calligraphy? Holy men love calligraphy, don't they? Could you design a unique kanji for her name? Something that shows your sincere apology and admiration at the same time? I can provide you with the necessary holoslate."

"Not really. The monks that act as scribes and librarians. I'm a bit more social and physical than that. I studied a bit about stage acting, and have sung a bit in my life, but that is the extent of my creative knowledge. You don't do much painting and writing when your duty doesn't call for it and you don't have stuff," he replies.
"Instead, I learned how to walk on water, leap great distances, and read a person's soul. Mystical bodily perfection does not generally lend itself to artistic endeavors."
