[D8 MA] So Hot . . .

[Asahina Hinata]

A political question. Hinata tried to remember the proper responses that had been repeated to him at length during the early days at court . . . somewhat simplified from their original statements.

"Oh stay friends with our nearest friends. Make new ones where we can. Keep the bunnie . . . . . Hare on our side and not the Crab's. Don't let the Lion roar at anyone and don't annoy any Imperials . . . oh."

[Miya Nishida]

He laughed, "Don't worry you're not bugging me, Kit,.... um Asahina-san" he said, wit a light rush of red across his face and ate another spoonful of ice cream quickly.

"Uhm, soo, i get the statement about keeping good relations with your current allies, and also the statement about keeping the lion in check, but what about the crab? Why don't try and befriend them?"

[Asahina Hinata]

"Well there's nothing saying I can't, but they're trying to hire the bunn . . . Hare away from us and we need the Hare and that's the whole thing about Usagi Drop! We're kinda showing the bond between Crane and Hare."

That last bit must have been rehearsed well, as he said it without any hesitations. He then proceeded to continue demolishing the dessert meant for two people.

[Miya Nishida]

"Oh I see, I see" he scratched at the last remnants of his plastic cup, still amazed at how much the little crane in front of him was shoveling in.

"I was beginning to think you had some wild prejudices about crabs. One hears that they are rather coarse and rude." Nishida tried to tickle more out of Hinata

[Asahina Hinata]

Hinata had reached the raspberry sauce rippled through the last scoop of ice cream by now.

"Oh . . . that's sharp!"

He smacked his lips in response to the sudden tartness, before looking up at Nishida again. Why are they always so tall?

"Oh well, Kuni Aratahime-sama was fairly rude to us at the concert last year, but S.L.A.T.E. are rude to everyone. That's their thing."

In reality the Crab Glam Metal band were pretty much only rude to Crane, Spider and Mantis.

"But Kuni Koyuki-samaaa was fine when I met her at the Bubble Tea place."

[Miya Nishida]

"Ahh yess Bubble-Tea" he tried to supress his raging hatred in front of the cute Crane. "She is pretty nice, if not intense at times, i had the honor of meeting with her in embassy." he told and put the sad remains of his plstic cup in a trash can.

"Can i tell you a secret?" he asked Hinata

Hinata was caught in that moment of realising he was in public and couldn't lick the bowl clean, but the momentary disappointment was dispelled by the Miya's words.

"Oh a secret???? Really?"

[Miya Nishida]

He leaned forward a bit and whispered "I was once called Yasuki Nishida" he leaned back again, "That's why I asked so sharply about the crab."

[Asahina Hinata]

Hinata stared up wide eyed and mouth forming an O.

"Oh . . . "

He continued to stare.

"I bet Miya-samaaaa was a very friendly Crab then!"

[Miya Nishida]

He laughed "Forgive my secret please, but your expression is worth its weight in gold Kitsune-tan."

Silence

...

"Ah fuck" he cursed with a flushed head.

[Asahina Hinata]

"Kitsune-tan . . . . . . . . . . ?????"

He barely noticed the curse, as the gears, whistles, rodents in wheels, transistors, carrier pigeons, diodes, waterwheels, valves, traction engines and cogs of his mind turned, pulsed and/or flew . . . leading to . . .

"Oh are you Ram-samaaaaa????"

"Yes" he answered and averted his gaze.

He was doing everything he could to somehow keep his eyes off Hinata, especially staring at his feet, which was probably not a very good idea considering Hinata's size.

[Asahina Hinata]

"Oh I had noooooooooooooo idea, Miya-samaaaa!!!!"

He gave his empty bowl and well licked spoon back to the heimin working the ice cream stall and then bounced back into Nishida's view.

"Your costume was so good, I would never have figured it out if you hadn't said Kitsune-tannnnnn!!!!!!!!!!"

[Miya Nishida]

"A bit taken off guard by the energetic crane, he didn't know exactly what to say first, "Um,... thank you for your compliment, your costume was also extremely beautiful,..." he said a bit shyly.

He fumbled a bit, a behavior the Imperial Samurai rarely exhibited,

"You're not angry?" he asked cautiously.

[Asahina Hinata]

He blinked several times, looking up at the Imperial in some confusion.

"Angry . . . ? No!! . . . why would I be angry????"

[Miya Nishida]

"I thought it was you after I left so suddenly" he said, still avoiding eye contact

[Asahina Hinata]

Nishida uses Confusion!
It is Super Effective!
Hinata is confused . . .

"Huh? . . . . errr . . . . . what?"

[Miya Nishida]

"I uhh thought,.. given our,... uhm dance and the rather interesting conversation, the drinks and,.. uhm and the theme of the evening,...." he stuttered as his head became gradually redder. This was way easier with a mask on!

[Asahina Hinata]

Hinata is still confused!

"But we had a lovely talk and a dance and . . . "

Brows furrowed as he tried to think through the . . . . derp.

[Miya Nishida]

Nishida tried to speak, but he had to concentrate too hard to keep his composure, or what was left of it, and stared, as a normal samurai would, at the, probably very distraught ice cream vendor.
