"Read a person's soul? What does that mean?" She wonders out loud. "Perhaps that can be of assistance." In more than one instances for that matter. "Please, explain and demonstrate?! I offer myself."

[Taiguno]

"I suspect it won't be of too much assistance, if at all. I don't use that ability with people unless it's necessary or with their permission. Though since you've given it..."

His eyes focus on Senshuken's, piercing into her and turning a shade of pale, icy white for a few seconds as the Air ki in his body becomes ascendant. Whether they see anything will depend wholly on her body's involuntary defenses.

[Taiguno]

"It seems that you have not been given any specific blessings from the spirit realms. Most people likely see not having any blessings from the heavens as a bad thing. I see it as you have accomplished everything in your life based on your talent without need of the help of spirits," he says with a soft smile.

[Bayushi Senshuken]

"Hrm!" She breathes out intensely. "Thank you for your effort and insight, Taiguno san, but you are right. Such a reading cannot help with Susumu san. You should give me your contact details and I'll text you if I think of something else."

[Taiguno]

"Send a message to the Shrine of Passion I suppose?" he admits. "I literally don't carry anything other than my robes really. But I do appreciate the help and suggestions. I think it's more likely that we'll meet at random times like here today. I have a habit of wandering into conversations with the most interesting people."

[Bayushi Senshuken]

"Shrine of passion, huh? I have been thinking of visiting the place if I have to be honest. May I ask a more private question?" She doesn't wait for an answer to that but rushes to the actual thing she wants to ask. "How are the prayers intended to passion? What do you ask? What kind of guidance do you seek? What do you promise even?"

[Taiguno]

"It depends on your view of the fortune, honestly. At the shrine of Passion here, they are focused on breaking obsession and addiction, praying for deliverance from their pain. Obsession is the realm of Kyoso, so the fortune of passion has the ability to ease that obsession. But for those that don't suffer from such an ill already they might pray to prevent themselves from becoming obsessed or addicted. Or someone that suffers from depression might seek Kyoso's blessing to inspire them out of that state. It all depends on how you hope they might bless you. I would likely only pray to the fortune of vengeance if I wanted to avoid their wrath for wrongdoing or wanted someone to suffer for hurting me. But outside of that I have nothing to pray for specifically."

He smiles playfully.

"So the question becomes, do you want to feel passion? I'm no monk of Kyoso, but I can try to help you with that if you want."

[Bayushi Senshuken]

The young woman seems troubled out of the sudden and falls into silence for several moments.

"I don't lack passion in general. Not in my personal life, not when I race, not when I simply drive, not when I talk with people, not during a million other activities. But I get terribly bored in... court." She looks at him and is about to burst into laughter. "And I am a courtier. You can see the problem in that, I imagine."

[Taiguno]

"Sounds to me like you need to start solving political disagreements with races," he replies, grinning. "Sometimes we have to do for ourselves what the fortunes decide they won't. If the Fortune of Passion isn't helping you feel passionate about diplomatic meetings, she may be testing you to see if you can figure it out yourself. Maybe try something different like releasing a small flock of birds in the middle of court to keep yourself and others interested?"

[Bayushi Senshuken]

She chuckles. "Not a bad idea altogether. Perhaps not releasing birds, but yes, court should definitely become more interesting!"

She looks at the monk and after a short pause, she speaks again. "What would you pray for, Taiguno san? Atvthe shrine of passion, I mean. Do you f8nd yourself lacking in the field? Or having too much of it, perhaps?"

[Taiguno]

"Being a monk with certain duties to the fortunes, I would pray in honor of the fortune of passion, and I would attempt to do so in a way that would please her. There are certain ritualized prayers specifically used by the brotherhood for making offerings to the fortunes that are mostly universal. The repetition of sutras and the like. So I would fall back on those," he admits with a slight shrug.

"But if there was something that I wanted or felt passionately about, I would try my best to express that myself without divine intervention and dedicating my actions to the fortune. Not that it is wrong to make prayers and offerings in return for the fortunes' blessings, but sometimes the fortunes prefer to see actions over being asked for help. So I suppose if I wanted to honor Kyoso-no-kami, rather than going to the shrine and praying I would potentially ask you if you'd like to spend some time together doing something you love so that I can observe your passion up close and appreciate it."

[Bayushi Senshuken]

The Bayushi smirks behind her mask and inclines her head respectfully. "And I would say yes and take you to a drive outside the city with countless kilometres of road lying before us."

"Will you?"

[Taiguno]

"I'd be thrilled for the opportunity to go for a ride with you. The chance to experience an adrenaline rush like that and see how much you enjoy it sounds like an experience I would not want to miss out on," he says.

"So if you are up for it, give me a date and time. I'll gladly join you."

[Bayushi Senshuken]

"Great! Two days from now, same time, same place?" She asks. Finally a person who looks eager to test the limits of a real ride! The Scorpion beams the brightest possible smile.

[Taiguno]

"Sounds perfect," he says with a smile. "What's keeping you occupied until then? Boring office meetings and fancy diplomatic parties?"

[Bayushi Senshuken]

"I have a date tomorrow and I am not certain how long it will last. Hopefully long enough so as not to allow me to do much more during the day." She winks.

[Taiguno]

"Oh? I hope your date goes well tomorrow then. Of course I can't help but think you mentioned it to try and inspire a bit of competitiveness in me," he jokes playfully.

[Bayushi Senshuken]

Senshuken chuckles. "To date in general or to date me specifically?" She can't help but ask.

[Taiguno]

"A bit of both, but perhaps more of the latter. Trying to ensure I put in the effort to make it fun? Cause that was always part of the plan."
