The pilot returns with two large bowls feature a katsu curry with rice and vegetables, a warm heart meal for the night.
"Oh...hey. So does that mean both of us were going to old Desolation labs? Go us, twinning!"

"Just means he has a worse taste in clothes." She stuck out a tongue at her.

"Hai, it's...great. No bustle, no hustle, just you and some food." She glanced down at the food, her smile spreading. "Two years ago, this...I never would've thought about this. Never dared, I guess. I was just happy to make rent and utilities." She suddenly smirked. "Though if the heating was off, it wasn't too bad most of the time, neh?"

She clicked her chopsticks at Yürei. "Twinning, yep, yep. This court season has been insane!"

She reached across the table, damming the space in between them, but decided, fuck it, they're alone.

Sakura stood up, and moved around to hug her girlfriend. "Yürei-chan, you...you have some of your parents in you. You want what's best for your friends and family." She leaned down to place a small peck on her nose. "Only you have a better idea of what that is, neh?" She leaned in for another hug.

Her smile is fragile for a moment but she nods, wrinkling her nose a little at the peck.

"I-maybe, I dunno, maybe that's it? Maybe that's a good way to think about it."
She leans into Sakura, although masterfully not letting go of her bowl.

"I just have to be better I guess. Less make people do stuff, more convince them, prove why it's the right way. I know it was hard with everything you went through Sakura but sometimes...I wish I had had folks like yours. People who loved and cared."

Sakura smiled and slowly went back to her seat. "Don't worry about it Yu-chan. I know I was fortunate with my father. Mother less so, but father more than made up for it. And I'm fortunate to have you. I guess, Benten smiles on me for some reason." She smiled widely. "And you'll do great. Now...I guess I should continue eating before you finish everything up, neh?" She started piling on more food in her bowl.

"We've got eachother, and that means a whole lot. Almost as much as having dinner. So yes dear, you better get eating or I'm coming over there and your bowl is coming back with me."

She grins happily before burying her face in her own bowl, which sounds disturbingly like construction equipment at work.

"Finished!" She soon replied like a happy child.

"Though if you'd like, I'd happily take my bowl over to you to be licked clean." She winked at her girlfriend.
