The opposing team was given an earnest salute just as the Bayushi all-metal (copper, tungsten, what have you) team was getting their beachwear (malfunction-prone after an energetic game) ready for the semifinals!

Moving on to the next round against Akane and Jiro, Tenma started running out of energy. It'd taken a lot of effort to adjust the the sand and the new sport she'd never played before. She'd just have to look pretty and hope her enthusiastic husband was able to pick up her slack.

Ryuhei got bedazzled himself by his wife's sporty poses in bikini to the point he stopped paying attention to the rules of the game, but his muscle memory played for him, and did it well enough! The ball was in the court, and it was not theirs!

Sakura felt spent after the epic battle with Team Glory, but still, she did her best to set up the star of the team...which could only be Seika of the Watanabe Yoritomo, The Storm Herself.

"Ganbatte Yoritomo-sama!" she served the ball as best as he could.

"Have we just pranced our way into the finals, honey?" He asked Tenma with a broad smile, his sweat dripping.

Tenma was more than a little winded and sweaty too, but she had a super competitive spirit to her, like many samurai in the Empire tended to. So it was she did her best for her own team's serving, hanging in the backcourt and letting her hubby take the net.

Seika had been able to catch a few minutes of one of Tenma and Ryuhei's earlier matches. The two Scorpion clearly work out, but don't know the ins and outs of the game as well as Seika and Sakura do. In other words, this is going to be a battle of skill and cunning versus raw physical talent.

Sakura might be tired out, but Seika still has her second wind. A piratical gleam flares in her eyes as she bounces up to the net. "Let's give 'em a good show, Bayushi-sans."

This sincere expression of good sportsmanship contrasts oddly with her fierce grin, which seems to say instead, I'm going to keelhaul you and leave you for the fishes! Ohohohoho!
