It was a cliché, but while it was called the World of Dreams, it never did truly sleep.

There were more peasants out at this hour than samurai, but some lower ranked samurai did get the 'honor' of supervising the night shifts personally. The lucky ones could head home before the new day started, wrap themselves up in a blanket and tune out the awakening world. The more unlikely would be heading home after a long night's work with the sun right in their eyes.

There were also those samurai who were either especially athletic or especially pious out already, in their own particular modes of worship. Early morning joggers, and monks looking to find the perfect spot to welcome in the new day.

Hato smiled a bit thinking of the old Phoenix monk checking his elemental balance. She wondered if he was ever out running at this hour, or if their path would ever cross again. She was out jogging behind some of the other early birds, though she kept an eye out every time they went past the Shadeworks HQ
