"Trust me Senshu-chan, I always keep my word. You'll see" Sumiko grinned "and I didn't say I have any issue with disrespectful, more that when in a more public area I will err towards respectful. When you're not from a prestigious lineage you have less protection after all."

She looked thoughtful at the question.

"Hmm...I think there is one in one of the southern cities. Motorsports isn't as big to the Susumu as it may be to the Daigotsu, being the diplomatic arm of the Spider, but there are some. I don't think the Spider generally are welcomed in many sports due to distrust, but some do make it there. I'll confess to not being one to watch much sports before, but I'd like to see you race. You've made me very curious."

[Bayushi Senshuken]

"Yes, most professional bikers are trained as bushi. It's a physically demanding sport. Perhaps if I ever race in the track in one of the southern cities of Whispers, you get to be in the finishing line to cheer my victory and tell everyone around that you used to know me." She raises an eyebrow playfully. "Or you might even study engineering after all and every once in a while I get travel to your homeworld to bribe you for advice on alloys for bike parts. Or... Or... Isn't the future bright?" She asks, mostly rhetorically. "Unfortunately the racing season has ended and a video of a race is hardly the same."

[Susumu Sumiko]

"I see, so Senshu-chan only expects to come across me at brief times in the future? I suppose you've got your future lined up well, marriage all planned and a city to lead" Sumiko said with a grin "as for engineering, I think I could take that up quite easily. Maybe you can teach me? You must know quite a bit right, working with bikes."

She nodded at the comment about racing.

"When does the season start up again?"

[Bayushi Senshuken]

"Senshu chan is only 17 and has the privilege to be the 4th child of her family so she has nothing lined up and little pressure to do so for now." She replies in a rather casual and playful tone. "Senshu chan and Sumi chan only know each other for two days. Does Sumi chan like lies and endless dreaming?" She stops walking and tilts her head to the side. "It wouldn't be fair for either of us to play with each other in such a fashion. You are not a project that I got stuck with at work. I want to be clear on that." With this out of the way, she grins and resumes walking.

"There isn't a race scheduled for the next two months, but if you are up for it, we can go for a ride. A real one this time."

[Susumu Sumiko]

"You'd be surprised, I've heard children from especially privileged families can sometimes have their futures decided before they reach gempukku" Sumiko stopped when Senshuken stopped, and listened to her words.

Perhaps it was a bit too close to the line...

She watched the girl walk on, a thoughtful expression on her face.

I should remember not to poke too much. Not as many others have been blessed like I have.

After a few moment she shooks her head and moved to catch up, bowing.

"Please accept my apology, I did not mean to implicate anything."

[Bayushi Senshuken]

Senshuken stops. "Kami, no. There is no need for bowing and apologizing. You did nothing wrong. Did I?" She asks. "Did I do something to cause... this? I'm not usually that dump, I promise. But I cannot possibly think the way you implied." She chuckles nervously, but soon she regains her focus and looks Sumiko straight into the eyes with her head tilted to the side. "I like you, but I don't know you, Sumi chan. Is that enough for a first date, even if it wasn't a scheduled one?"

[Susumu Sumiko]

Sumiko shook her head.

"No, it wasn't you Senshu-chan. I have enjoyed our time and I'd like to spend more time together, however as you said we have only known each other a short time and I perhaps was a little forward with my comments. It has been a long day and I did not wish for it to end on a sour note, so please forgive me if I have caused any ill feelings. It was a wonderful evening, and hopefully we will have plenty of time to get to know one another more during this winter season?"

[Bayushi Senshuken]

The Scorpion lowers her mask to her chin so that Sumiko can really see her. "Hai, I would like to spend time with you. No ill feelings, I promise." She smiles warmly.

"If you promise to behave and be a proper lady despite my complete and utter sexiness, I can even give you a ride home. What say you?"

[Susumu Sumiko]

"Thank you" Sumiko smiled and nodded "that would be lovely. I promise you won't even notice I'm there, and I'll control myself around such a radiant beauty" she grinned.

"The spider embassy is not too far, it won't be too much of a detour I hope?"

[Bayushi Senshuken]

"A lovely idea! We shall take a detour then!" The mask returns to her face. A tiny bit of mystery must remain.

"Let's go, fair lady of the Susumu." She offers a playfully gracious bow and a broad smile that can be seen even behind the mask.

Sumiko giggled, her normal happier smile returning.

"After you" she motioned, then followed along. Pleased that the previous issue had managed to be resolved and that this mysterious Scorpion woman was still going to be around.

I swear this was easier with Jian...her straightforwardness was refreshing.
