[D11 EA, Open] Inner Peace

[Taiguno]

Taiguno is sitting near the entrance to the temple, observing the foot traffic an meditating on the flow of people. It was curious to him, to see the people that pass by the temple, observing which ones spared a glance, which ones stopped to offer prayers, and which pretended the shrine to the Dark Fortune didn't exist as they headed off to a different religious site.

He watched impassively.

[Mirumoto Shigure]

The Mirumoto came to the temple of Passion. With what he was told in the morning, he should probably pray to this fortune. He notes the monk of perfection and gave him a bow. "Good afternoon, Taiguno sama."

[Taiguno]

He rises and then bows in a smooth set of movements, clearly used to doing so for others. "Good afternoon Mirumoto-sama. I hope you are well and the fortunes are blessing your path."

[Mirumoto Shigure]

The Mirumoto bowed. "I hope you have been blessed today." He sighed. "You know..." He sat down. "One can search for a purpose in life but seems there are more purpose in death."

[Taiguno]

"Ah... purpose. The ultimate snipe that people hunt," he replies with a chuckle. "Here is a question: if there was a purpose for life or death, some defined ideology, would it actually change the state of life or death?"

[Mirumoto Shigure]

"Life will continue even if we don't live. We in Meido would be waiting the judgement of Emma-O and try to become part of the next life." He nodded. "Hopefully, we won't be part of Jigoku... Chaos and Order will always be in conflict."

[Taiguno]

"Life continues, yes. But consider which would be more difficult: ending all life or resurrecting everyone that has ever died and giving them immortality? Life and death are not order and chaos. In fact, I would say that life is more chaotic than death and death more ordered than life. Certainly we resist Jigoku because Jigoku would consume all things. But also, what would the world be without it? A warrior has no value in a world without opponents. Life is nothing without struggle."

[Mirumoto Shigure]

"It is a circle... and yes that is quite the question. A life without troubles seem way too simple yet it is what many long for. Warriors tend to search for death in glorious battle... what is glory but another way towards immortality. Many become immortal but not in life but in death. Odd ne... " the Mirumoto chuckled.

[Taiguno]

"I like to view life as a spiral rather than a circle. struggling and living, around and around each other until the clash at the center. Dancing around each other until the ultimate last step where life passes into death. But if life and Ningen-do are both like that, and they are reflections of the heavens, what does that mean for the eventuality of the spirit realms and what do they pass into?"

[Mirumoto Shigure]

"That sounds rather romantic Taiguno sama. The dance between the struggles and the truth of life." Shigure smiled. "Life in Ningendo for spirits may be more fun rather the rules that reign their realm."

[Taiguno]

"So perhaps life for them is much the same in their own realms too and they simply come here to try to escape their normal struggle?" he asks curiously.

[Mirumoto Shigure]

"As we choose to go from planet to planet to see what is new... I think it is more curiosity rather than escape. Then they find out that some rules don't apply."

[Taiguno]

"Spiritual vacation, spending time in a different realm then? May I should visit sakkaku and see what it's like this time of year?" he asks, chuckling after.

[Mirumoto Shigure]

"Well, yeah... why not? It would be nice to visit and see our avatars of such realms. Perhaps one day a shugenja might invent some sort of suit or spell that allows us to blend in and not suffer the consequences of our humanity in such realms." Shigure shrugged. "I think that might be enjoyable."

[Taiguno]

"Just have to figure out how to not be taken over, then we can visit Chikushudo and hike the tallest mountain in existence. Sounds like fun to me actually."

[Mirumoto Shigure]

"Yeah... does sound like fun." Shigure smiled. "Also a nice hike around the forests... or a swim in the waters of Sakkaku... ride an orochi... oh one can only dream."
