He waved with the remaining half a takoyaki on a stick after bowing.

"Do they count all the bell bonks or just the ones that make them ring?" He asked in general.

With a bow to all present, Yamako quietly scurries away, deciding that perhaps some sake would help this *tickle* in her throat. Yes, clearly that was the solution.

She pauses as shouts and a skittering, whizzing noise indicates a dramatic misfire off to one side. "No need for details at this point," she says absently as an explosion and scurrying offer hints of the activity containing the problem.

"But...my origin? Nothin' special really. I liked makin' stuff with my hands...little bits of wire and string as a kid, then gettin' into trouble carving on the duraplast inside until someone let me mess with waste rock instead and I guess I got better as I went along. Got a few things noticed here and there. Big break kind of was meetin' my wife." Her grin widens. "Was sketchin' in her dad's gallery and she startled me lookin' over my shoulder. We started talkin' and that led to a few pieces there, and eventually a weddin'. But those were the connections that got the folks with enough resources and pull to get interested in my work and learn that I was lookin' to work larger."

She waves up at the exuberant display in the sky. "Then...a lot of explosives later, here I am."

speaking of explosions, the pace seemed to be picking up as the festival was leading up to it's finale, a glorious burst of all of the clans colors as the bells sounded much more rapidly.

"Ah, before it's all over, Hotaru-san, let me give you my communicator details for that project you mentioned." she offered fishing out an outdated and battered communicator.

Tsuyo nods, palming the little device out of a pocket. It's a sturdy, no-nonsense model that flips open. Crab-made, they're known for being nearly indestructable, so long as you could pop the pieces back on it if they came off.

There is cheering from various parts of the crowd as everything comes to its finale. "Our system's a bit archaic, but I've been connecting fine though the Scorpion systems just fine." And her comcode was indeed the sort you'd see in rather backwater areas that hadn't upgraded their systems in a while. Those systems would have trouble recognizing some newer comcodes.

The words were a bit hard to hear with the flurry of explosions and bell rings.

Hato bowed deeply to the Firefly and then took a step back to watch the marvel that was unfolding.

Hygiene together was fun, he recalled in his mind.

She thought about it a minute before standing up straight and turning to Ryuhei, "Speaking of dumplings and such, let's go get some festival food, before they start closing up their carts. I could really go for something sweet, you know?"
