The Wicked Wasp was jumping as two of the Empire's greatest starts combined their talents to make an evening of music that none in attendance would likely forget for a long long time. Everybody who was anybody would be there.

However, if you were a nobody who had nothing, you weren't likely to be there. The ticket prices, the drink minimum, the scorn of people wanting to enjoy a night of music without being reminded that people could fail so badly that they could be stripped of their clan and their cushy lifestyles. Had she not gotten a text on her communicator, she likely would be at the Shosuro Temple right now, sweeping.

But another person who wanted to be somewhere other than the concert for other reasons had sent her a text, and she had no reason to deny them.

Hakumyo had been somewhere she had wanted to go on many days, but spending time with cats was a luxury, not a necessity.

Hopefully, her partner for the evening would be along before the shopkeeper chased the ronin away for loitering in front of their business.

Her partner did indeed show up shortly, the bell jingling cheerily as he entered. He nodded to her, the ghost of a smile appearing and disappearing. "Evening, Hato-san. Anything you'd like to drink?"

Debris trotted up a bit clumsily and meowed at the Lion for attention.

"Ah, this one would be quite content having whatever Lord Lion would care to have." she offered, sneaking a quick pat of Debris.

He paused on his way to the cafe's counter, squatting down to give Debris some very thorough pets of her ears and the sides of her neck. "Hello, Debris! It's so nice to see you again!" A few more pets. "Seeing you is much nicer than a big crowd of people."

Then her got up and headed over, finally settling on chai teas - very careful to order real milk and not anything with soy - bringing one for each of them to a table along with a couple of red bean-filled buns. "I hope you like chai, Hato-san."

"A rare treat for this one, Lord Lion." she said accepting the tea, and giving Debris a few more pets. "And this one is rarer still. Lord Lion is truly a generous soul." she offered.
