(D2, LA) A Purrfect Cup

[Kitsune Kiyoshi]

Every cat looked towards the entrance as the Detective and Kiyoshi entered Hakumyo. It wasn't clear which of the pair the felines might be staring at, but they eventually lost interest and looked away. The Kitsune selected a table to sit at and the monkey followed. An order for tea, sakura mochi and banana sushi was placed.

While they waited, a curious Mold made his way over.

[Kaiu Setsu]

Setsu was nearly regretting coming here. Thankfully, a samurai appears nearby. Even better, no cats around... so far.

Coming closer to the table, he asks, "May I join?"

[Kitsune Kiyoshi]

"Certainly." The Fox dipped his head and gestured to an open seat. "I am Kitsune Kiyoshi. This is the Detective."

The monkey next to him grinned.

[Kaiu Setsu]

Setsu notices the monkey and takes a moment to process. After a couple of blinks and nods to both and takes a seat. Then, he asks, "Are monkeys and cats friendly to each other?"

"Nice to meet you both. I am Kaiu Setsu." He says, adding up while waiting for the reply.

[Kitsune Kiyoshi]

"Like most creatures, it depends on the individuals involved and their mood." Kiyoshi shrugged. "But, the Detective is very friendly, as are the cats so far."

[Kaiu Setsu]

The Crab rubs his chin while analyzing the potential for cats to go away or get attracted. While doing so, he looks at the Kitsune and mentions, “You have a familiar face. Are you a movie star or something famous like that?”

He shrugs, mentioning, “I’ve heard a lot of famous people would come for the festival. I am Kaiu Setsu, by the way. I work as Chief Engineer at Kaiu Heavy Industries. I am here as part of my post-burnout treatment. I imagine this would be a good experience.”

The Crab makes sure he presents himself as not to get that sour expression he got the other day from another celebrity.

[Kitsune Kiyoshi]

One of the cats had approached, but had retreated once the Crab had arrived. Neither Kiyoshi nor the Detective had seemed bothered by that.

"No movies. Just a series of Minor Clan holoseries." he shook his head. "The Detective and the Mystery Five. The Mystery Five did a few albums, too, before the others left to pursue other interests."

[Kaiu Setsu]

"Yeah. I remember something about the Mystery Five. What about your career path. How did you ended up in this fine place?" Setsu asks, trying to be cool with the cats nearby.

[Kitsune Kiyoshi]

"The studios is developing the next version of the show." he explained. "It's a good time to take a vacation and work on my music."

[Kaiu Setsu]

"I see. So this is like some sort of an inspirational treatment. If so, I share that as well. Well, at least for this moment of vacations. Something I often passed away. Kind of interesting to have some time off most of the day." He mentions while the servant returns with what they ordered.

Setsu got some adzuki apple pie in the form of a smiling cat. Kind of cute.

[Kitsune Kiyoshi]

"What type of inspiration are you seeking, Kaiu-sama?"

[Kaiu Setsu]

"Itadakimasu" He says in a low voice before taking the cat's head off with a bite at the pie. After munching for a moment to think, he mentions, "More of a soothing inspiration to the mind, so creativity comes back without the full anxiety."

[Kitsune Kiyoshi]

He nodded in understanding. "What do you create?"

[Kaiu Setsu]

"Some would say awesomeness." He grins, "But I create talents, and some cool electronics for security systems."

[Kitsune Kiyoshi]

"That's very interesting. I've never been very good with crafting anything." he sighed. "Performing comes fairly easily, as does anything with animals. But, I don't think I could ever build anything."

[Kaiu Setsu]

"Well. You built yourself a good career, didn't you? That's remarkable." Setsu mentions as the felines sense some relaxation coming from the Crab and maybe, just maybe, try to approach to see whats going on there.

[Kitsune Kiyoshi]

"I contributed to it, certainly, but it wasn't something I created and molded, not really. That was mostly the studio." he shrugged. "It's only in the past few years that I've been exploring ideas of my own."

[Kaiu Setsu]

"Tell me about those ideas." He mentions with a trustful nod.

[Kitsune Kiyoshi]

"Music mostly." he explained. "Trying to update or reinvent my sound, rather than continuing to repurpose stuff from the Mystery Five."

[Kaiu Setsu]

“I was nearly saying I am a very good person to shared ideas with, but musical ideas is not really my forte.” The Crab mentions, but tries to be of some use nonetheless, “Which kind of song you like the most that you think you could reconnect to your audience?”
