(D10 LA) The Odd one out (expecting)

May miracles and signs still happen! Nishdia was in the cat cafe. A place of which he did not even know until recently that they exisitere and from which he actually also thought never to come.
But now everything was a little different. Nishida had dressed a little more nicely than usual for the meeting. The style could best be described as business casual.
He sat alone at a table while Akechi and Himei were in another corner. Himei sat in a crouch and played with a cat, probably a sign that she was here often.

Soon it was revealed who had informed Nishida of the Hakumyo as the ever happy bundle of joy that was Hinata arrived. He wore an off the shoulder top in white and blue swirls, leaving his entire right arm bare and a wide flared sleeve cuff to the left. His usual style of blue shorts and thigh highs accompanying it. One of his bunny eared hoodies was strapped across the top of his equally bunny eared backpack as a nod to it having been chilly earlier that day. His hair was tied up in two bunches and he had appeared to have spent extra time and attention on his make up today. Was he treating this like a Date????
He skipped over to the table and bounced a bow.
"Miya-samaaaaa!!! Hi, hi! Hope I'm not late????"

Nishida looked at Hinata with a smile as he approached him, "Greetings Kit,... Uhm, Asahina-san. I hope your well?" He asked and took a look around, "This place is,.. different from the usual tea houses I'm at, but,... I think the cats are a big plus" he said, looking at some of the feline critters.

"Oh I loooooove it here."
He looked around and spotted Nishida's hangers on to give them a cheery wave before moving closer.
"They give all the fluffy kitties such horrible names though, but I've been told all Scorpions do that."

Nishida laughed, "Maybe they do it on purpose, you know, as some type of advertising?" He smiled and kept his gaze on Hinatat, "So you've been here often? What can you recommend?"
Also he looked at the a rather grumpy looking cat, "so they room freely here, I guess we can just pet them?"

He slid into the seat opposite the Miya and looked at the nearest cat.
"Oh yes, they just walk around and you get to pet them if they want it."
He looked about.
"I hope Mold is around. He's such a sweetie. The tea and mochi are good here, sorry I forgot you asked."

"Mold? That's really a terrible name" he replied, chuckling. "So uhm, I hardly know much about you,.." he said scratching the back of his head, "How is life as a wanted Superstar?" He initaded some Kind of conversation

"It is a horrible name and he's so cute. He doesn't deserve it. Neither does poor Garbo. She's so fluffy . . . "
He giggled and covered his mouth with both hands.
"Wanted?? You make it sound like some kind of crime, Miya-samaaaa!!!! There's a lot of travelling from planet to planet for concerts and media events, so we spend a lot of time in shuttles and starships. But it's all worth it for the performances!!!! I love singing and dancing and casting my air kami illusions on stage. All those happy fans!!!!"

He blinked suprised, "Oh you're a shugenja? I didn't know."
Nishids looked towards one of the cats, and decided to use the age old trick of "pspspsps" to get one of them to join them. It might come of as a surprise, but Nishida was really good with animals. One might to come to think of why.
"I also have my fair share of space travel behind me, being a Yasuki in a previous life and such, I always hated how crammed the ships can be"

"Oh yes, try sharing a cabin with four other boys. We had to do that once . . . no twice when they mistook our numbers or something. At least they didn't have to put much heating in to the sleep cycles!!!"
He 'ahhhed' at the cat, but waved at a server for tea and mochi and . . .
"Oh, is there anything specific you want Miya-samaaaa?"

He smiled, "I'll have a green tea and I would try the mochi here, are there any fancy ones? Maybe something with a filling from the local fruits?" he asked Hinata.
Nishida's cat-call seemed to have had an effect and the cat Hinata knew as Mold joined their table, jumped on it and greeted the old acquaintance first.

"Oh hi hi Mold-sannnnn!!"
Hinata held his hands out so Mold could smush his face into them like he loved doing.
"Oh I don't know if any of the fruits are local . . . I never thought to ask!"

Nishida also reached out to pet the cat, "Oh, really? I mean, once you're on a new planet, you should probably try something new, shouldn't you?" he said, looking intently at Hinata before turning his attention back to the cat, "Oh, you seem very cuddly, huh?"

"He likes hands. Oh, smushing his head into hands I mean. Well I've tried the mochi here, just never asked if it was local fruit or beans they used in them . . . "
He grinned sheepishly.
"I kinda assumed it was . . . "

"I guess it's never too late to ask, huh?" he said, petting the cat as he smiled to Hinata "Um, do you want me to take care of the order for a minute or do you want to?"

"Oh Miya-samaaa better. I'm always getting orders wrong for other people and they know what I like here already!"
He waved at a server and started ruffling Mold's fur . . . in the right direction.

"Well, then,..." Nsihida stood up and went towards a counter to fo the order for both Hinata and him.
It was a bit unusual to see a high-ranking samurai place an order himself, had something changed in his mindset?
After a while he sat down with Hinata again, "It should be coming soon,... if you don't mind, would you tell, how you come to join Usagi Drop?" he asked to learn more about him.

Meanwhile Hinata had been losing a push-of-war with Mold and was forced back into his seat by the adorable fluffball.
"Oh I had finished my schooling and everything on Harusame and was waiting for my first assignment when Doji Takakenta-samaaa recruited me for the band he was forming. Then there was a shuttle ride to meet the other four, lots of dance training and song learning before we started doing concerts and media events. There was even a cooking show early on . . . we were terrible but it got great ratings."

"Oh really, a cooking show?" he said smiling, "How did that go, were you making little buns?" he said, trying to make a pun

Hinata blinked and then blushed a little, probably making up his own version of what Nishida meant.
"Yuta-kun did the dessert, not me so that's his fault! No, I did the miso soup, but I burnt it . . . . we were a total disaster."
