[Asahina Hinata]

"Oh she's a lovely person."

Not if you listened to Naz-kun, but fortunately most of Nazuna's tirades about Yakumo went in one of Hinata's ears and straight out the other.

"Tickets? Oh I think I can get some. We just had a rehearsal but I don't normally deal with the details."

One look at his face said why, the total look of . . . vacancy.

[Akuta]

"Wouldn't want to worry you with details and throw off the performance, of course."

An idea struck Akuta and he leaned back, taking another sip of water.

"Security at these gigs normally a big deal? I imagine with you being famous and all that you're probably swimming in bodyguards, eh?"

[Asahina Hinata]

Hinata blinked.

"Well there's the Embassy staff . . . "

Who were at the Embassy.

" . . . and the Wicked Wasp must have something . . . "

He hadn't looked.

" . . . and Yuta-kun usually looks after us . . ."

Difficult to do from another planet.

" . . . actually no . . . "

[Akuta]

Akuta paused.

"So, let me get it straight: You're a member of some interstellar musical group who tours the galaxy, is apparently famous, and you're just wandering around without a yojimbo or any security detail at all?"

He took another drink of water. "Sounds like you need someone to at least walk around with you, then."

[Asahina Hinata]

"Oh the Embassy staff said I wouldn't need one as long as I stayed in the are they put in my densai!"

Which, absolutely amazingly, he had actually held to.

[Akuta]

Oh, you poor sweet summer child...

"What area are they keeping you in? Plenty of things to see if you know where to look. Also, given that I've grown up here, there aren't many actual areas that someone who is dedicated can't get into."

Another cat wanders by and he idly strokes it's tail. "Haven't you ever heard the stories about diplomats being kidnapped during courts?"

[Asahina Hinata]

He blinked . . . and then blinked again.

"K-kidnapped?!?!?!?!?"

No one told Hinata those stories. It was cruel to scare the Hinata.

"Oh but that wouldn't happen to me . . . . would it?"

[Akuta]

"You're super popular, right? Never know what some criminal scum might try to do...ransom you off for extra money or something. You've seen the shows on the 'net, right?"

Even Akuta remembers seeing some dramas on the holoslates as a kid...old buddy magistrate shows and such.

"Tell you what: Since I know what to be on the lookout for when it comes to criminals, I'll do some security work for you. Night of the concert, I'll escort you to and from the place, make sure nobody gets any funny ideas. I'm sure you can afford it, eh?"

[Asahina Hinata]

The Embassy had said something about resources available for hiring ronin and the like. Hinata hadn't listened particularly well to that bit to be honest. He wasn't really sure what this espionage lark was all about. But the resources were there, and this must be the kind of thing they were for.

"Oh. You really think I'll need an escort?"

[Akuta]

"Can't hurt, can it? If nothing happens, great, you don't have anything to worry about. If something happens, you'll have someone who can kick the teeth in of anyone who tries something. Probably won't even get that far, honestly. Last time I worked a job like this, some idiot tried playing grab ass and I thought he was going to wet himself after I stared him down."

Akuta puts on his best 'steely glare', which was indeed fairly impressive as he manages an aura of menace that might be best matched by a raging beast of some sort.

[Asahina Hinata]

Hinata is suitably . . . impressed? Hard to tell as he's actively trying to hide behind the cat he was petting.

"Scary . . . "

[Akuta]

The glare breaks and Akuta smirks, leaning over to pet the cat that Hinata was trying to shrink behind. "One of the skills growing up on the streets teaches you. You got to learn how to sing and dance, I got to learn how to growl and makes faces at people who wanted to take my noodles."

He gives a wink and rolls a shoulder. "But yeah, if you want to think about it, you can take my communicator number and call me if want. I'll even wear this kimono since it isn't full of patches like my other one. Unless you have a fancy spare 'fashionable' one you'd rather have me be seen in."

[Asahina Hinata]

Hinata likely did not own a single piece of clothing that would fit Akuta, but the Embassy had resources.

"I .I'm sure we can work something out, A-akuta-samaa. It would be much safer with that glare facing away form me . . . "

He fished his communicator out to exchange numbers.

[Akuta]

"No need to call me sama, Asahina-sama. I'm just a humble ronin, making my way."

Once the numbers are swapped, he gives a nod and puts his communicator back in his pocket.

"Well, I've probably taken up too much of your time, Asahina-sama. After all, I'm sure you'd like to spend more of your time break from rehearsing by playing with the cats, eh? I'm sure more of them would like to make your acquaintance."

[Asahina Hinata]

Hinata recovered quickly from the Stare of Doom once it stopped. He put his communicator away and returned to cat petting like it had never happened.

"Oh have fun, Akuta-sannn! The concert at the Wicked Wasp is gonna be so good!"

[Akuta]

"I'll be waiting for your call ahead of the concert if you take me up on the offer, Asahina-sama. Have fun with the cats."

And with that, Akuta takes his leave, standing up and making his way out of the establishment to go about his business.

Hinata cheerily waved goodbye, the scary intimidation face already forgotten. His undivided attention was soon given to the cats.
