[D1 EA] Cat Visiting Cats (Open)

[Akodo Inasa]

Gritting her teeth, Yamako attempted to entice Garbo closer while also not being dragged off her feet. He was a crafty foe however and took much of her concentration.

“I…just…want…to pet you!” She exclaims as the rod is finally pulled from her hands and Garbo drags it off to a corner to ‘kill it’.

Turning back to the crew, she flops into a nearby chair with a sigh. “One day…one day I will make it work. But clearly, not today.”

"Awww the fierce hunter wins. Don't worry, Ide-sama! Kitties remember who plays with them. Next time he'll be waiting for you to bring him something to chew!"

That something might be her hand, but Hinata did not think of that.

"Exactly," he assured. "You've started making friends with him already."

[Ide Yamako]

She perked up a moment and waved to a passing staff member for some tea. “You think so? I hope so. Perhaps it would be better to find a more….placid creature to try with.”

[Asahina Hinata]

"How about this fluffy boy?"

Hinata pointed at the approaching Mold, who was stalking about looking to see if anyone had their communicator out.

"He's so fluffy..." He said, leaning down to hold his fingers out for him to sniff. His eyes would be sparling if he was just a little more willing to sacrifice his dignity at the alter of KITTY.

Yama’s eyes look as though someone has dashed glitter in them as she looks at this new cat. Her hands flex as she inches closer, trying to keep it together.

“Kitty? Want to be friends?” The cat sniffs a little bit but then roams off towards a large scratching post and scratches while looking directly at her.

“”Clearly I need to work on my cat diplomacy skills.”

[Asahina Hinata]

"Oh kitty, don't be like that!"

He beckoned Mold back over while speaking to Yamako.

"You haven't been around a dog or something have you? Sometimes they don't like other animal smells on people that we totally don't pick up. Oh."

He looked down to see Mold smushing his furry face into Hinata's hands.

"So floofy."

[Akodo Inasa]

Inasa came around and crouched down to pet Mold's ears as he rubbed against Hinata's hand. You don't demand a cat moves for your, after all. You move for the cat. "There you go."

[Ide Yamako]

"Oh kitty, don't be like that!"

He beckoned Mold back over while speaking to Yamako.

"You haven't been around a dog or something have you? Sometimes they don't like other animal smells on people that we totally don't pick up. Oh."

He looked down to see Mold smushing his furry face into Hinata's hands.

"So floofy."

She pondered. “Not recently. Perhaps it is my perfume? Some cats I have been told find some scents repelling.”

[Asahina Hinata]

"Maybe."

He thought about it for a moment, brows creasing ever so slightly as he came to the brilliant answer of . . .

"I don't really know, Ide-sama."

Meanwhile, Mold kept smushing his face into Hinata's hands and had started purring at the ear scratching from the Lion.

[Ide Yamako]

A small sigh escaped Ide-san, definitely mildly jealous as she watched. But as she finally relaxed and stopped vibrating with the desire to pet with all her heart, a little black cat hopped up onto the arm of the chair she was sitting in. She barely dared breathe for fear of scaring it.

"Oh...hello small one." She reached her hand out to the animal, careful and slow. It sniffed and then began to rub its head against her hand, plainly demanding pets. Entranced, she petted the cat, and the joy in her face was likely visible from space.

Hinata grinned at Yamako finally getting what she wanted, but he had the serious task of providing hands for Mold to smuch face against. A heavy burden but one he was prepared to carry.

[Akodo Inasa]

Inasa smiled as Yamako finally got to pet a cat. "Congratulations, Ide-san."

[Yogo Ono]

Apparently, the young samurai wanted to get laid and they were negotiating their respected roles in the aforementioned inevitable activity.

Would they go along with a party? Nah, they seem so basic. He smiled with the expression of a kid about to do something silly.

Let's make it funny. He nodded to Tsuko and the cat knew that she was allowed to go play with the other cats. She stretched herself and scanned the surrounding area. The fluffy cat being pet by two samurai drew her attention.

[OOC: I edited out a part since it was brought to my attention that I went beyond PG-13. In case I offended anyone, I apologize that wasn't my intention.]

With there being so many cats in the room, Hinata would be totally unaware the newcomer wasn't a resident. She also wasn't quite what Hinata expected in a cat.

"Oh . . . . errr . . . what kind of cat is that one???"

[Ide Yamako]

Yamako continued her absorption into the little void beast letting her pet them. However, her inner diplomat heard the words of Akodo-san and dragged her back up from the depths of 'its a kitty!'.

"Thank you Akodo-san. It is silly, but I have always had such a weakness for furry creatures. They are just so compelling."

[Yogo Ono]

Stupid cat... you were supposed to growl at the other. He shrugged before hearing the Crane.

It worked after all without aggression... Thank you Benevolent Heavens, you bless me more than I deserve.

"Apologies, Asahina-san, did Tsuko-chan bother you?" He inquired him before bowing.

"I would be surprised if you could recognize her breed. She hails from cats that served the royal family of the Senpet empire in ancient times." He explained as he closed his book and rose to properly introduce himself.

"This one is a servant of the kami, who answers to the name Yogo Ono. I am honored to introduce myself to someone as talented as you."

[Asahina Hinata]

Hinata's eyes went a little wide as he noticed the Yogo for the first time. Observation being one of his many not strong at all points.

His first move was to cover his mouth before he did or said something inappropriate about Ono's mask . . . hat . . . maskhat. The second was to be confused, which was a very common state for him.

"Royal Seppets???? . . . What planet are they from?"

The maskhat was very distracting but not enough for Hinata to forget Crane manners.

"Oh hi, I'm Asahina Hinata and these are Akodo Inasa-sama and Ide Yamako-sama!!!"

Inasa smiled at the new cat. "She looks appropriately regal."

He looked to Yamako with a smile. "There's nothing silly about it. Fluffy warm companions are one of the joys of life."

Yamako nods her head at the introduction to the Yogo but is unable to pull her gaze away from her fluffy companion. “It’s true. I wish I didn’t travel so often and might have a companion such as this always.” She chuckled. “Though it would be a great deal harder to get any work done.”

Kids these days... He did his best to smile, as if he didn't want to scream and then rofl.

"The Senpet empire used to be northeast from Rokugan Proper." He responded and bowed as the Crane introduced him to the other kids.

"Oh hi, I'm Asahina Hinata and these are Akodo Inasa-sama and Ide Yamako-sama!!!"

"Mina-samas it is a pleasure and an honor." He greeted them.

"Tsuko-chan, be a dear and niah at the nice samurai." He told at his cat.
