[D1 EA] Cat Visiting Cats (Open)

[Asahina Hinata]

Ancient History was not a topic Hinata would ever have been any good at. He'd probably slept through that section of his Asahina schooling.

"Oh I'd never heard of them before. Zenpats . . . ok."

Fortunately before his eyes could stray to the hat . . . mask . . . hatmask again, his attention was drawn back to the cats. Mold had paused smushing his face into Hinata's hands and was looking at the newcomer. Hinata also looked at Tsuko, obviously waiting for the Nya!

[Yogo Ono]

"Come on Tsuko-chan, I know you enjoy having an audience."

[OOC: Since unskilled, I won't even roll.]

Tsuko poured and idly strolled towards the other cat.

"She is nervous since she is not familiar with the environment." He explained.

"And it's Senpet, S - e - n - p - e - t. They were obsessed with the realm of Emma-O and liked geometric structures. Despite being gaijin they almost managed to reach the level of our Empire. Is it your first time in WoD?"

Hinata listened as carefully as he could but had lost the gist by about the third letter. Languages are hard, man.

"Sen . . pit . . . ? Ugh, gaijin? Can't be as good as us then."

Evidenced by they were here and the Senpet were not. The cats were here also, so they were better than Senpet as well.

"Well first time on the World of Dreams. I've been in the system before but we were just shuttling through and stopped for fuel or something."

He was as about as clued up on spaceship mechanics as he was on ancient history.

[Yogo Ono]

"Sen . . pit . . . ? Ugh, gaijin? Can't be as good as us then."

Not the brightest chicken in the hen, it would appear.

"They can't indisputably, but their cats are something, ain't they?" He smiled.

"Well first time on the World of Dreams. I've been in the system before but we were just shuttling through and stopped for fuel or something."

"I really hope you have a decent guide then. Sadly few actually appreciate the planet enough to do it justice."

"Oh the Embassy staff have been great at telling me where to go!!!"

He petted Mold enthusiastically.

"This is one of the places they suggested!"

Such a good kid. I bet mamma is proud!

"Asahina-sama, when you were a kid, did your caretaker take you anywhere fun?" He asked rhetorically.

"Of course not, he took you to places that he was familiar with and considered safe. Surely you understand that a decent guide would make far better suggestions that this most definitely fine establishment. I mean it's just fine." He explained.

"Have they suggested you cat care centers? Cat sake houses? Cat geisha houses?"

"I asked for animals and they suggested here and the Sanctuary zoo thingy."

His petting of Mold lessened as he had to put more into listening to and (mis)understanding the Yogo. Much to Mold's displeasure.

[Ide Yamako]

Shaking her head as she exits the wormhole of cute that exists around cats, she realizes she has been silent too long and awkward for far too long. "Akodo-san, I fear I have just remembered an important engagement. I will have....to come back another day. But I appreciate you and Asahina-san's pointers. I shall hold them close and use them well."

She bows to the others, departing swiftly unless stopped.

"Oh you're welcome, Ide-samaaaa! Byeeeeeeee!!!"

And then she was gone. Hinata looked puzzedly at the door after she left, but remained silent (for at least ten seconds.)

He smiled and looked at Mold.

"Impressive fur." He said in full knowledge that Tsuko will make him regret that.

"Is hunting a favored pass time?"

"Hunting?"

The face showed he had no idea what Ono meant. Either for himself or the cats.

He shrugged and asked Jun to show to the Crane a video of what he meant. The Data Archivist played on a tablet a video with Tsuko hunting mice. He hoped that would work.

[Asahina Hinata]

"Oh you mean the cat!"

He rubbed Mold behind the ears.

"I only just met them here. I don't even know this floof's name yet, but the first one was called Garbo and . . . "

Fortunately he realised he was talking to a Scorpion so didn't go on a rant about why the cats had horrible names.
