Unexpected Faces (Day 6 Mid afternoon)

[Hotaru Jun]

"They generally aren't that delicate." He paused a moment. "I do think you get a bit dirty just by opening the hood though. It's kinda like underneath it has an aura of grime or something." Jun slurped some of hsi own noodles.

"And whatever you do that grime always finds its way under your fingernails."

[Ide Yamako]

She looked at her hands a moment. “Well diplomacy has that in common. A careless land leads to a sticky situation.”

[Hotaru Jun]

"Suppose it does at that." Jun mused with a small nod. "I guess the same could be said of a lot of things though.

"But enough of that." He added with a shake of his head. "We got to be able to find somethign better to talk about then dirty fingernails between the two of us."

[Ide Yamako]

She laughed out loud. "Ok, fair. Its not precisely desirable." She ponders for a moment. "Did you see the Oshidama tournament the other day?"

[Hotaru Jun]

"Oshidama?" It was probably about as much of a question as a statement. "No, I got here after that. Heard there was some sort of big party happening to celebrate the Mantis victory though." Which may just be his style.

"Was it fun to watch? Or did you participate?"

[Ide Yamako]

“It was fun! I wasn’t very good but it was different and something new to try. And yes I think I heard something about Yoritomo-sama throwing a party tonight.” She slurps her noodles. “It still feels odd to call her that. She spent so long under wraps at New Kalani.”

[Hotaru Jun]

A slurp of hios own noddles caused Jun to miss the last part of the statement Yamako made, but it couldn't be too terribly important could it? "Where does it fall in comparison to dancing?" He paused.

"On the fun scale that is." Not the how bad she was at it scale. Though that might be a fun answer too.

[Ide Yamako]

She ponders that. "Dancing is still more fun, I would say. Oshidama was fine but I do not know if I would play again without a partner interested in it or a reason."

[Hotaru Jun]

"I could see that>" Jun agreed with a nod. "You can always dance on your own, or even find a dancing partner when you're out, if that's what you're after."

"Oshidama really does need multiple people though, and it's a bit weird tryign to catch a game with a bunch of strangers."

[Ide Yamako]

“Yeah and plus I think my height makes it difficult for me to do some of the moves. Maybe if I found a much taller person to play with. Or maybe focused on digging moves.”

She shakes her head and slurps the last of her noodles up. “I think I should probably work on practicing dance instead. More uses in a broad spectrum.”

[Hotaru Jun]

"Maybe?" Jun replied with a shake of hsi head. "I admit to watching more oshidama then I've played. It's kind fo a tought sport to have on a ship." But then again most sports were pretty difficult to have on a ship.

His noodles weren't quite finished, but Jun did seem about done with them regardless. "True enough, got dance parties, dance clubs, dancing games.... Think I've heard somethign about dancing in the rain?" He nodded a bit to himself. "so it's pretty veritile."

[Ide Yamako]

She chuckles, wiping her face with a napkin. "That I will have to try. Though with some clothes I don't care as much about. It sounds exhilarating."

[Hotaru Jun]

"Suppose it's one of those things that are best in the right company?" He mused with a shake of his head. "I don't think I'd want to try it all on my own, but they I'm not rain's hugest fan either."

She was likely a bit more accustomed to it then he was though.

[Ide Yamako]

"That's fair. It has its moments, but I wouldn't want to be out in a large storm. I remember New Kalani had a few of those while we were there."

[Hotaru Jun]

"Yeah, luckily we were under those bubbles and didn't get hit with the worst of it." That would of been pretty bad otherwise. " I suppose big storms are a good time to be somewhere cozy though, with some sake or tea or something." Somethign could probably be someone, but some things you didn't say flat out like that.

"Or the right person too now that I think of it." Unless you were like Jun.

[Ide Yamako]

She looked down at her hands for a moment before meeting his eyes. "I imagine good company would make many things more pleasant."

[Hotaru Jun]

He smiled for a moment. "True enough, a few drinks some chit-chat." Jun nodded a bit to himself. "Even with a storm brewing it could make for a nice evening to share."

This was followed by a thoughtful pause. "How do you figure scary movies would mix into that?"

[Ide Yamako]

She shakes her head. “I am not one for them but j know many enjoy them. I suspect if one wanted to bring another closer, it might be efficacious. Or it might have an opposite effect. It would depend on the person, distinctly.”

[Hotaru Jun]

He nodded at that and smiled a bit. "And what would your choice for an evening like that be then?" It was more a curiosity then anything. Probably. There were after all a lot of things they didn't know about each other. "Something more romantics? Or maybe a good comedy?"

[Ide Yamako]

She pondered that. "I very much enjoyed the one time Noburu-san and I went to the arcade. But that would be difficult to replicate at home. Perhaps video games together? I am not very good at them, but it could be fun to compete together." She shakes her head. "I like movies but sometimes I end up analyzing them too much. Noburu-san complains that I keep talking during them."
