"Oh, that sucks," Seika says reflexively, between munches.

"Err... who's that? Kin of yours? My Grandmama is always telling us we had to eat this or that or we'd never grow tall and strong... well, joke's on me, I never got tall anyway. Genetics, not diet." She rolls her eyes slightly and launches an attack on a scallop kebab.

[Asahina Hinata]

"Oh she is the group's Nutritional Advisor."

He made an unhappy face as another tentacle from the squid was chomped.

"More like Fun Police."

"Ohh. Not here now, though, huh?"

Seika watches Hinata tucking away the grilled squid in record time, impressed... and tallies the other plates around him with a quick glance.

I mean, he never sits still, that's probably a lot of calories burned, right? Any sterner opinion on her part would be a case of the pot judging the kettle, anyway, she reflects as she swallows another bite of her scallop. It takes more energy for people like us to keep up with all the tall jerks out there.

"You know, coming from a big family means I have a lot of people who want to tell me how to live my life," she muses, stacking the empty skewer on a plate with its predecessors--and neglecting to mention, or perhaps even consider, that the simple size of her family might be less relevant than the wealth and rank they control. "But you idols, wow. You really have people watching your every move, huh?"

Hinata views the desolation of empty plates he'd created, and considers it enough . . . for this timeslot.

"Oh yeah, we have loads of backroom staff, but not when they split us up for the Court season."

He screwed up his lips as he thought for a moment.

"I think . . . there was supposed to be some others at the Embassy for that kind of thing, but they're all sooooo busy I just mainly get left to myself."
