Rei grinned. "Well, if Otomo-sama wants to give it a try, I expect that could be arranged."

He tapped his index finger on the rim of his glass. "Certain things couldn't be shared, of course. Proprietary techniques. But I certainly think that leaves a fair amount of room for an interesting training experience for everyone." He took a sip, then smiled. "I can't say for certain, but this sounds like a good proposal to me."

"Worry not Usagi-san, the Seppun are not loose-lipped! And understand that some things cannot be shared, this has always been the case between the Phoenix and Imperials. Or so my teachers stressed." That garnered a shrug from the Otomo, as what can you do.

"If Usagi-san was willing to send word up his own chain, this one will reach out to his uncle and send word up the embassy staff to have higher level talks than two courtiers in a sake bar." Koroshi finished his cocktail in a few more quiet sips.

The larger ones sometimes have things that can mark them as individual examples of their kind. The MCA library is rather extensive. Maybe we could find something in the histories..." He shrugged. "It's a stretch, but you never know."

I am looking into who owned it so that it can be returned to its family." He said thinking back. "Is there anything in specific that would assist you? It was violence personified if that helps."

Rei's eyebrows went noticeably up. "In it's heart? I was expecting in its stomach. That seems... significant."

He frowned. "It doesn't bring anything to mind right off, except to suggest some connection to whoever owned the sword. Would you let me know if you find the owner? Or I can assist with the search, if you like."

He made his hands into pincer claws and clicked his nails together.

"I see..." Rei said. Frowning, he glanced down, watching the little pantomime, then back up to Koroshi's face. Nothing the smile.

Smiling back, Rei shrugged. "Well, if you do come up with something, you can always stop by and see me at work. It might take a bit of time to get through our security screening, but you know how it is. Have to make sure the office isn't bugged, after all."
