Jinkies, A Mystery! (D8, MN)

[Tassu]

In a small alcove, two Scorpion students were showering each other with love (and likely soon with other, less romantic things) - and while the two young men were rather distracted with each other, Yakumo and Koyuki would have to sneak past the lovers.

[Kuni Koyuki]

Slipping ahead of Yakumo, brushing against her more as a decision than accident. Feeling rather comfortable that it was a permissable thing considering all they'd shared. Trying to keep their profile as slight as possible Koyuki would lead the way forward passing by the two scorpion lovers. Sparing a glance out of curiosity inspired by the little game. Hand out behind her to try and give Yakumo little directions as she moves along.

At least Yakumo was more or less as stealthy as Koyuki was, keeping to the Crab like a shadow to follow her lead on "how to sneak gud".

She stole a glimpse at the two students, and did like a spider and moved quietly.

Both the young men, despite with having their pants down and having their hands busy turn to look at the two women, both a little flustered and out of breath. Yet the darkness made it hard for them to see just who had walked on them, both of them jumping to a wrong conclusion.

"Hey, get your own place!" the man still standing grunts. "Didn't you see the sock on the door, idiots!" While the man kneeling on the floor seemed to have a personal grudge. "Akari, is that you? I told you you can't come watch us just because you like smutty comics...

[Susumu Yakumo]

Now seemed like a very good time to run, so Yakumo grabbed a hold of Koyuki's hand and made a mad dash to get away!

[Tassu]

Rather angry voices follow Yakumo and Koyuki as they make their escape!

"Akari, you have still my renga...mmhmhmh" the angry voices are muffled by a rather determined and demanding voice.

"Hush now... you can deal with her later."

Yakumo's hand firmly grasping her own Koyuki dashes ahead along with her. Caught off guard by Yakumo's initiative her mind catches up quick in the rush. Stifling a chuckle as they rush off and just flowing into that mad dash alongside her.

Escaping it seemed, Yakumo led Koyuki back to where they had parked, and once it seemed like they were finally in the clear, she broke into a low laugh. Even leaning on the hood of the car to keep herself steady as she had to expend much energy on not laugh too loudly, but also because she was heaving for breath in between running and laughing.

"Oh my Kami..." she panted, grinning like an idiot. "That was close."

Coming with steadied deceleration Koyuki comes right up beside Yakumo. Fighting with keeping her own breathy laugh contained enough as to not draw too much attention, livened by the burst of excitement. An idiots grin donning her own expression as she settles. Leaning against the hood of the car beside Yakumo more for to match than need for support, looking to her with a expression that was just a touch deeper in that alien list of warm expressions Koyuki could apparently make.

Chuckling again when she goes to speak first, "That was exciting," she breathes, calming, another soft chuckle underneath that breath.

"Yes," she agreed breathily, still panting. Running was her least favourite thing... thank the kami she had dressed sensibly to allow for such activities, but it still didn't help her poor health.

"Phew... I thought it might've been something really scandalous, and it was just two students making it out seemed." Yakumo held her sides as she choked down her laughter at what they had actually seen. Poor students if they had known they were peeped on by the galaxy's most famous idol. "Let's get in the car, mm?"

Nodding along, Koyuki could do naught but agree. Meeting her gaze for a more direct nod in affirmation to the question, with some of the wear in her tone but recovering far faster than Yakumo she starts toward the door, "Let me get you in," she says, as hand reaches handle and she gets it open. Mindful for any indication that Yakumo might desire a hand into the car, but otherwise just waiting with the door.

Without much delay, she'd quickly come around toward the opposite side of Yakumo's intended seat and claim that one for herself. Driver, or otherwise.

Yakumo didn't refuse the assistance, and got in on the driver's side, knowing that she was technically responsible for the car if anything happened to it, so she might as well be the one driving.

Once they were both inside and buckled up, the pair drove off from the dojo grounds and headed out onto the road, which was not as heavily trafficked at this time of day, but still not busy. After putting a bit of distance behind them from the dojo, she found a parking lot outside of a transit-point, because whatever Koyuki had learned, she didn't want to risk getting caught unawares while on the road.

"...Right. So, uhm, did it work?" Yakumo asked, looking over at Koyuki expectantly in hopes of some more answers for their mystery.

"Yes," she says with all the weight of what she'd learned quite apparent. Having had at least the time to prepare to switch gears back on the ride over. Settling into the seat and relaxing herself a bit. Now that they were parked, Koyuki undid her own belt and shifting her method of sitting so one leg was crossed over the seat and the other lay off the side. From here she faces Yakumo fully.

Relaying, at first, word for word how the moment had transpired. Sparing not a detail. However, she was rather certain that while Yakumo was bright she wasn't quite versed in dealing with these kind of entities and focuses her thoughts into one central point.

"Much has been confirmed, and all of it gives me a great deal of worry," she admits, a heaviness to her tone as she looks over the woman her opposite.

While believing that the kami were actually cute little ponies, who talked in a cute repetitive pattern, was a bit of a strange stretch, Yakumo didn't doubt what Koyuki was telling her. She had unbuckled her own seat belt and she sat half-facing the Kuni while she listened.

Matters of spirits were beyond her, but all of this was very concerning. "Emotions crimson and black... not sure what that means. Twin-soul... hmm. He actually did mention something about that, that night I was with him." Her lips pressed into a thin line, and her face seemed a touch paler than it usually was.

"He called me a creature of darkness, said that he felt drawn to me in a way - carried away." Bringing her hand up, Yakumo rested her chin against the knuckles of her hand, as she was trying to remember and figure things out at the same time. "He seemed... puzzled by those words, surprised perhaps. When I asked him about it, talked a bit more about what he said, he mentioned that the Scorpion have stories of lovers and such born as twins... I don't know if that might mean something. Or any of what I just mentioned now, really."

"We know so many pieces of this mystery," she begins, like setting up the blocks to some grand but unstable tower. "And yet we are only left with more terrible importance to our questions. What we know, is that he has an interest in you," she says, and her heart throbs a bit in her chest with that pained sickly feeling of worry overcoming. Instinct suggests she reach out, the desire was great, and yet her hand remained still as she learned to fight against that instinct long ago. Now finding just how much of a reflex it was to fight against such instincts.

"What else we know," she says, that sharp edge of steel inspired in her tone. "Is that this man entered the dojo with a woman he loved dearly. What happened there, it resulted in a dark and powerful entity being drawn up and he left alone with the woman he loved now dead."

"More that I learn of this, the more I find I hate not knowing," she says, an uneasiness to her.

Yakumo pinched the bridge of her nose, digesting all the stuff they knew now. "Ugh... I'm at such a loss of what to do." There was a moment of silence as she took a deep breath, then she reached for her purse, shuffling through some things until she could get to the hole she had purposefully made near the seam at the top so it wouldn't be easy to spot.

It took her a bit of work, but she managed to get some papers out of it, which she handed to Koyuki. The whole time her expression seemingly one confused and conflicted. "I got a hold of this today. With what you learned at the dojo, we're getting a fuller picture, but... I just don't know what to do about it."

Considering the contents it made sense that she was taking the precautions she could.

Watching her with that concern unhidden in her eyes she slowly gathers herself forward. Leaning more inward to take the papers from her hand, and although still listening intently to Yakumo and holding to her presence for a moment she was lost in this other world of focus. Going through all that was transcribed she reads diligently and thoroughly. Connecting every dot together that she could, that they could. All of it coming together in one big sigh as she falls back against the seat and looks up to the ceiling of the car.

Closing her eyes she just lets the sound of the moment come to her, and ground her. Sound of the city all around, the sounds of the car and space therein, and the sounds of Yakumo living and breathing beside her. Everything felt so impossibly active for this day, like suddenly the world was a vibrant mess of very mess emotions and she wasn't quite sure how to keep up with it all anymore.

"I don't know either," she said, and there was a defeat on her voice. A phrase that felt all too true but she didn't want to say.

"You have that dinner with him still, right? What- what do you want to do?" she says, having leaned forward to look at Yakumo. Though her voice was uneasy, and her eyes heavy with concern, she wasn't a woman that was going to keep Yakumo from her decisions. Never.

She watched Koyuki as she too saw that crazy info Sumiko had pulled up for her earlier that day, and noted that she must probably be feeling some of the same level of conflict as she did over the matter.

"I... I don't know," her hands linked together in her laps, tugging gently at the fabric of her gloves as she tried to figure out what to make of it all. For once in her life she almost wished her uncle was her - he'd know more about this sort of thing.

There was a soft sigh from her, her shoulders rising and gently falling as she inhaled and exhaled. "I feel like he is as much a victim of this, as his wife was, in a way. Not like he chose this, I think. But... if I tell him this, show it to him, I might very well be in danger myself for possessing classified information from a Scorpion intelligence division."

Struggling with the idea just as much, fretting at the edge of her own sleeve. Koyuki puts her uneasy energy into action and shifts how she's sitting so she's half leaning over the center console. Letting her heart steady for a moment she pulls up her strength enough to say with an evenness to her voice.

"Come here? Please," and holds, waiting.

Yakumo looked up from her own fidgeting hands, meeting Koyuki's steady gaze with her own. She nodded once, and made sure that the handbrake was set in properly so it wouldn't suddenly move while she was not sitting in the driver's seat.

With that secured, Yakumo wordlessly shifted over from her seat and over to be closer to Koyuki.
