As long as there's a profitable asteroid to mine at the edge of the Empire, being sent there is not a far stretch.

But admittedly, it's acquiring the skills they need that's the difficult part. You don't know your way with machinery I suppose?"

"This one is not trained as a mechanic, it is true. This one does have a good amount of training in computer programming, so this one has thought that that might be a useful skill when one is far away. This one can not confirm that, of course. Perhaps the computers that the Firefly use are so tried and true they never encounter difficulties. It is, after all, a dream. Not everything always makes sense in a dream." she admits.

"That is true, Lady Lion. There is air here....though the quality of it depends on where one is." she admits. "And planets don't normally get shot at, or run into asteroids." she listed off.

"Then again, small craft aren't generally known for rampant crime and corruption, so this one supposes it is all in how one values what they giving up for what they are gaining."

"A very interesting question, Lady Lion. This one would not put anything outside of the power of his Divine Majesty, but this one also does not stand so far outside of the situation to view it objectively, perhaps. One might use the metaphor of a frog in a pot of water put over a fire...but that is perhaps too drastic of a metaphor to reach for." she mused.

"Perhaps this one could note that this one has encountered many samurai who might not have been here without the presence of the court. This one has certainly been inspired by the likes of Otomo Koroshi-sama, for example. Were the court not here, we might have never met."

"Otomo-sama might not be as radiant as His Majesty but he is unmistakably shiny nonetheless. I'm curious what his presence inspired you to do exactly though. He... is a lot, and with him I feel that could mean anything from taking up ikebana to swearing an oath on non-violence."

Hato, lacking a fan, had to turn from the Lion suddenly, lest she laugh breaking On.

Composure regained, she turned back.

"This one believes that that is a more than fair assessment of Lord Chrysanthemum, Lady Lion. He may even ask for you to perform ikebana without harming a single bloom, though not without endeavoring to do it for himself first." she agreed. "He is an inspirational figure, to be sure, but to what ends?"

Hato tried distilling the essence of Koroshi.

"Perhaps it is that one should remember that all things are possible beneath the gaze of the Heavens. There is no darkness that is truly impenetrable, if we but look for the Sun. That we must live in the moment, for this moment is all that we have." she offered.

Hato bowed apologetically.

"This one offers apologies Lady Lion. This one would be interested to hear Lady Lion's observations on Lord Chrysanthemum from a historian's perspective, should Lady Lion care to share them with this one." she offered, the somewhat curt answer giving her the notion she had somehow offended the Lion.

But really, perhaps it was just the Lion was tired. Bushido was a heavy weight to carry, especially on a planet such a this. Surrounded by people who reveled in straying from the narrow path of honor, it was difficult to continue the walk alone, as they shouted cheerfully to you from the side to come away with them.
