"You might have to talk to her designers, they're the ones who designed her look, personality, and wrote up her backstory. I just oversee the production of the streams and ensure everything is running properly so that we have a consistent show. That would help if Nari-chan could commit to a regular schedule, which she cannot." She gave a dismissive shake of her head on the matter.

Seki sighed. "It is what it is. Thankfully, Nyoko-chan has been more consistent, which the fans appreciate very much above her other assets."

"Yeah, I saw that Nari-chan has missed a couple of days lately." She leaned in with a whisper. "Is everything okay? Do you want to talk about it? You look like you need to talk about it."

[Boogiepop]

Nari-chan

"Hmm...Okay, let's see here." Nari-chan would say as she fiddled around with the game controls to bring up the construction and crafting options. There seemed to be a variety of things they could build in this game like a tent (good for 1 person) or the cabin they were currently working towards (good for 2-4 people). Later on, there were options to build weapons, campfires, and even other projects like a boathouse! She would eventually find the cabin and laid down the outline in the middle of the field. "Aha! A cabin! This looks like a nice place for a cabin! It's close to the forest and the river. I'm sure we could do a lot here!"

"I like being alone but I also like being close to my friends! It's a little bit of everything here. Inari's Cradle, eehh? Maybe I can consider visiting there one day! Heehee, it does have my name on it. Well, the syllable pronunciation, at least! But I agree, Kitsune-sama! Hehe, I don't think people here want to not have access to a network for a fun stream or show! Unless maybe, there's a camp Chikushudo House! Wouldn't that be fun?!"

After putting the initial foundation to the cabin, Nari-chan's character would look over to see some deers and rabbits run past her on the field. "Oh, animals! I know Kitsune-sama is very good friends with the Detective but do you have other animal friends hmmm?"

Seki narrowed her eyes on Sakura, looking a bit annoyed at the question. "Excuse me? Are you Kitsune-san's representative or trying to be my marriage counselor, Hotaru-san? Everything is okay, as you see. Nari-chan is with us, for the time being. I'm sure she could use another handler to drag her out of the animal realms but it can't be you. You likely have your hands full already. And how is managing Kitsune-sama's schedule?"

[Kitsune Kiyoshi]

"Oh, yes." He nodded and motioned for the Detective to show off his t-shirt. "We've been making new friends at the Tsukune no Saisei no Kibou Wildlife Sanctuary."

His avatar set a few logs into place.

Sakura raised a hand. "Gomenasai. My girlfriend says I meddle a lot. I am quite lucky, as Kiyoshi-sama is generally easy going, as you can see. What do you think of the production so far? It seems very....wholesome?"

Nari-chan

Nari-chan let out a very impressed gasp before giggling. "Ahhh...wooooow! Oh my Kami, he looks very cuuute in that shirt! That's great! Did you have lots of fun Detective-san? What can you tell us about the Sanctuary? I really need to go back there! I reeeeally want my own spine drake, one day!"

"One, two, three. Work, work, work! Yaa-yaaay! We're really making this happen!" Nari-chan cheered in a lyrical voice as put up more logs and materials in the structure they were making. The audience could see the walls being put up in the cabin gradually with an obvious pink outline to the areas that they were missing, which included the doors and roof. "We make a great team together, Kitsune-sama! Maybe they should drop us off in the middle of an island and have us build a cabin! We'd be so fast, whoooosh!"

"I'd like to drop her in the middle of an island..." Seki muttered under her breath.

"It's going well, I'm pleased with the chemistry. Nari-chan's easy-going personality makes it easier for her to be paired with almost anyone." She nodded in agreement. "She is very wholesome, that's her design. I suppose if we had a more risque guest, Nyoko-chan might be a better fit. Perhaps someone like ronin-enthusiast, Susumu Yakumo."

[Hotaru Sakura]

"Oh, you said something Bayushi-sama?" Sakura heard some muttering about dropping an island on Nari-chan?

"Ah certainly, I am sure she is very easy to work with..."

[Kitsune Kiyoshi]

"Anyone would be happy alone on an island with you Nari-chan." he grinned. "We could have all sorts of fun, building a campfire, telling stories and singing songs."

The an impressive display of strength Kiyoshi's avatar lifted a large portion of the structure into place. The Detective clapped in approval.

"The sanctuary is a wonderful place. They've made amazing steps in trying to preserve what remains of the natural inhabitants of the World of Dreams." he added. "The spine drakes are beautiful, but every creature there is remarkable. I'm doing what I can to help the sanctuary continue and expand its work."

Seki seemed to raise a brow at Sakura and disregard the murmurs she had earlier like it didn't even exist.

"Easy to work with to a point. I suppose as a personality, she fits in with many people. If she would only commit to a regular schedule but that's perhaps the price of fame. When you get famous enough, you have certain expectations and expected freedoms. At this point, I can't exactly divorce her from what she established herself to be. It's a bit different with Nyoko-chan, who's easier to schedule and eager to please but I suppose she's starting out mostly. It also helps that she's always been from Chikushudo House, rather than ported over from...another realm, so to speak."


Nari-chan

"Aaawwww, whaaaa!" Nari-chan just beamed with joy at the compliment, smiling brightly with animated closed eyes and twitching ears. "Kitsune-sama is so nice! Whhhaa, I didn't know you were so nice! I'm so glad you're my guest today! And yes, very muchly! I do love doing all of those things!"

"Whooooa! So strong, Kitsune-sama! Yes, the sanctuary is a great place and I appreciate everything they've done to ensure that many of the cute critters of the world are around so that people in the city can see them firsthand! Some people on the World of Dreams don't even know what true wilderness looks like, so it's very valuable to also educate them too. They've done great work. Whaaa, I kind of wish to own a spine drake one day! Sooo cuuute! Heee, but I don't know how they'll take to kitsune!" She giggled at that note and went back to putting the last finishing touches on the home as it appeared the sky was getting rapidly dark with the sun setting soon.

Putting the last few touches with her final action, the log cabin was complete! It seemed like it was just in time too as the sky immediately fell into the night and they were surrounded by darkness. A notice above the screen would inform the players to get into the cabin for shelter.

"Whew! That was very hard work, Kitsune-sama, but we did it. Yaaay!" Nari-chan cheered with her hands up. "Hm! We'd better get inside, I guess. It can get pretty chilly at night!"

[Kitsune Kiyoshi]

"Chilly and possibly dangerous." he nodded. "But, we can be safe and warm together inside."

He guided his avatar inside.

"What would you do in a cabin like this at night, Nari-chan? If you couldn't watch streams or play games?"

[Boogiepop]

Nari-chan

"Mm! Mm!" Nari-chan nodded at the suggestion and walked her own avatar inside as well. There would be perhaps only enough space for barely two of them. It was very likely that this was the first level of the log cabin, especially when it seemed like it was barely larger than a walk-in closet. "Huh, kind of small in here! I guess we'll just have to work on making an even bigger place tomorrow! As for what I'd do...I'd probably try to use my imagination. Maybe pretend that this was a sushi stand and I'd have a lot of customers. Or! Maybe I'd sing and well stories for the night. I know a few of those! Mm! Mm! I did a cover on one of Susumu Yakumo's songs not too long ago!"

The game tutorial would appear saying that players could sleep for the night to pass the time and wake up in the morning.

Nari-chan giggled and a sweat drop would form on her head. "But really, I'd probably nap all day...That's something I'd be happy to do more often, especially in a cozy place like this. Uhm, ahm! I mean just napping, not to be weird or anything, Kitsune-sama! I like you, Kitsune-sama, but not that much. Hehe...Anyway! Sleep time now..."

She fiddled around with the game controls until she could find the command to have their characters sleep in the cabin so that they could get daylight again...

You can't sleep, there are enemies nearby.

[Kitsune Kiyoshi]

"Dangerous." Kiyoshi sighed. "I was hoping the cabin would be enough to protect us. Let me see what's out there."

He maneuvered his avatar back outside and tried to figure out what the combat controls might be.

[Boogiepop]

Nari-chan

"EH??!?" Nari-chan looked a bit bewildered and on the verge of panicking with her eyes going wide and her ears twitching cautiously. She and her avatar frantically looked about for the supposed enemies that were about. "What's going on, Kitsune-sama?! I thought this was supposed to be a nice place with a happy wilderness!"

Without any torches or any other light sources constructed at their current home, it was nearly pitch black save for the light provided by the moon. However, there was some clear shuffling around that could be heard with some ominous grunting that didn't sound like it came from an animal or something friendly. There was a mountain in the distance...

Wait, that was no mountain...



A snarling ogre approached their cabin with murder in its eyes.

"AAAIIIEEE!!! KITSUNE-SAMA! WHAT'S THAT?!? AHHHH!!!" Nari-chan shrieked out as her game avatar seemed frantically look up and down, stagging about as perhaps Nari-chan was moving all of her controls in a panic!

Mechanics and Objectives
Both Kitsune Kiyoshi and Nari-chan have 5 HP currently, and so does the nasty Ogre!
• Fighting in the came requires a Melee Weapon/Agility skill check of TN15. If successful, the Ogre takes loses 1 HP (with their current weapons), otherwise, the attacker loses 1 HP instead.
• A charge-up attack is done with a Melee Weapon/Agility skill check of TN20 but the attacker loses 1 HP for using it. If successful, it will cause their opponent to lose an extra 1 HP.
• The Ogre can only make one character lose 1 HP per round.

[Kitsune Kiyoshi]

Digital Kiyoshi picked up a piece of wood and tried to club the ogre. The wood seemed to shatter and he moved away from Nari-chan, hoping thr beast would focus on him.

"Ah, I see, Bayushi-sama managed to cunningly acquire Nari-chan, eh? A talented huntress, I gather." She tucked a stray hair behind her ear. "Nyoko-chan is homegrown then, I gather. Do you expect Nyoko-chan to possibly eclipse Nari-chan at some point?"

[Boogiepop]

Nari-chan

"Aiiiie!!! Kitsune-sama! You're getting hurt! Ouuu, oh nooo!" She cried out as she moved her avatar out of the log cabin in panic, bumping along some walls before she did so. "Uhhmmm! I halp! Hold on!"

Nari-chan readied her axe and moved up to the ogre in an attempt to take a swing at it! The swing went wide! "This is so hard!"

"Well...It would be all too easy to take the credit for something I didn't do here." She frowned faintly on that topic. "More that Nari-chan was dropped on our laps and we've managed to make do. As you can see, she became widely loved and she managed to get a lot of fans. The rest is history. As for Nyoko-chan. I personally think that she will eclipse Nari-chan at some point but I'm not the target audience for such things, obviously. There's a certain demographic that would thirst over such a character and we're figuring the right notes without crossing the line. I suppose it might have been crossed with a shopping keeper slash courtesan backstory..."

She narrowed her eyes. "Wait, are you seeing this?"

[Hotaru Sakura]

"Hai, what coukd be the probkem?"

Dropping the ahop talk for a moment. "I think she was similar this morning on her stream."

[Boogiepop]

Bayushi Seki

"Just some interference," she was quick with her response, knowing that this was bound to come up with the guests around. "We already have technicians trying to fix the tunning all morning, no need to concern yourself, Hotaru-san. It's probably just some wild spine drakes who built a nest on our receiver. We could send you to check that. It's on the 120th floor."

She gave a glance at the other woman, perhaps hoping she'd do just that before stepping forward to take the radio from the production desk. "Kitsune-san and everyone, keep going as normal. We'll fix it in post, thanks."

[Kitsune Kiyoshi]

"Be careful, Nari-chan!" He warned. "This creature's dangerous. Fortunes know what it might do to you."

His avatar flailed wildly at the Ogre.

"Awful things! B-bu-but, Kitsune-sama! It's doing awful things to you RIGHT NOWWW!" Nari-chan shrieked at the top of her lungs. "This is so terrible!"

"Ho-hold on! I won't leave you behind! HIIII-HAAAAH!" She cried out as she positioned her avatar next to the ogre to take another swing of her axe, causing a bit of red flashing as the ogre staggered back with an 'ugh!'.

"I did. I DID IT! Don't worry, I"ll save you, Kitsune-sama!" She said triumphantly!

Sakura promptly went to the 120th floor with fastest possible means, her techie brain filled with curiosity!
