The Kitsune's eyes followed her as she stepped away. He was curious as to what was going on and continued to watch as he appeared to play with the Detective.

"Is that the guest?" from the woman who seemed to be her superior?
"Yes, Bayushi-sama."
"He seems much smaller than the profile picture..."
"Yes, Bayushi-sama."
"Go to the studio and get Nari-chan ready as soon as possible. It's such a mess here at the moment. The sooner we can finish this, the better."
"...You want me to go in there, Bayushi-sama?"
"...Yes, I'm not talking to Nari-chan. I swear I just recovered from this migraine. She's lucky she's so famous."
"...Yes, Bayushi-sama, right away."


After the exchange, Kotone bowed to the woman and made her way toward the hallway that Sakura was familiar with. The suited woman would approach Sakura and Kiyoshi.


Bayushi Seki

"Kotone-san is dealing with something on my behalf, I'll take it from here. I am Bayushi Seki, the managing producer for today's stream. Welcome, Kitsune-san and Hotaru-san. I hope everything has been explained to you by Kotone-san, already? If there's nothing else, we're ready to start." She gestured to the small theatre room where there was raised platform where a desk with several screens was found. There were two controls on the table as well. There was a large screen facing the theatre audience side that would show them the stream as shot while Kiyoshi would be 'face to face' with Nari-chan at the desk.

There were a few Scorpion sitting in the audience but they don't seem like the typical Nari-chan fans, more older suit sorts, and security forces type...

[Hotaru Sakura]

Sakura debated in between her natural curiosity and following the letter of her contract...she leaned towards the letter for now.

"Sure, sure. I'm just here to help and support. If you need ANYTHING from me, anything really, I'm here."

[Kitsune Kiyoshi]

"Of course." Kiyoshi dipped his head and followed instructions and prepared for things to begin.

The Detective peered at the screens from over Kiyoshi's shoulder.

[Boogiepop]

Bayushi Seki

"Of course, Hotaru-san." She said with narrowed eyes on her, recalling her from Kotone's report of a supposed talent representative slash rapid fan. "I think we have it from her and thank you very much for putting this forward. We are always open to potential bridging media relations between the Scorpion and the Minor Clan Alliance, especially if it allows us to spread our content to other places in the galaxy. For now, you're more than welcome to join the audience. Considering our technical difficulties today, we won't be completely live, we'll direct you to a private chatroom where you can actually participate."

With Kiyoshi and the Detective would be the desk, where they would be given a controller and a headset. The technician there would ensure all buttons and communications were working, also allowing the Kitsune to familiarize himself with the game. The Wilderness is a pretty simple game where players roam the island in third-person, looking for resources and building things together.

Eventually, Nari-chan herself would appear on one of the screens. They weren't 'on' just yet.


Nari-chan

"Hello? Hello? Are we on? Oh hey, heeeellloooo, Kiyoshi-sama and the Detective!" Nari-chan smiled brightly and waved with both hands.

[Hotaru Sakura]

Sakura smiled.

"Certainly, certainly...do you need any help with the technical difficulties? I'm something of a computer expert myself."

[Kitsune Kiyoshi]

"Hello, Nari-chan!" Kiyoshi and the Detective waved. "How are you today?"

[Boogiepop]

Bayushi Seki

Seki would seem to regard her with some indifference on the matter. "It's good to hear that Hotaru-san is an asset to her Clan. We actually have ten computer experts on staff and I'm sure they would appreciate the space to do their work. As you see everything is working order," she said with a gesture to the show prep.


Nari-chan

Nari-chan smiled in high spirits with her eyes closed, in an animated fashion. "I'm doing great! Thank you for asking. I hope you and the Detective are well? Thank you soooo much for coming out and being a guest on my stream! We're going to have a lot of fun together!"

"All right, all system check! We're good on the feed and sound. Stream recording in three...two...one..." one of the production staff would call out before dropping the opening and it seemed they were on the air! ...At least, being recorded to be put on the air later on!


Nari-chan

"Ooooh. Hmm? Oh, helllloo, minasama!" Nari-chan would greet her audience with a few quick bows in an adorable fashion. "We're live and back online! Again! Thank you very much for joining me today, I am Nari-chan and today I'm actually joined by a special guest! As promised, this is Kitsune Kiyoshi-sama and the Detective from the Mystery Five! Yaaay! Mmm, welcome, welcome. I'm happy to have you here! It seems that we have a few fans locally from the Minor Clans who are big fans of yours and I am too!"

There are several text entries that quickly pop up on the chat that the audience and Kiyoshi could see, showing various cheers and delighted responses to Kiyoshi and the Detective's guest appearance on Nari's stream.

[Kitsune Kiyoshi]

"Thank you, Nari-chan!" He gave a broad smile. "The Detective and I are delighted to be here. We really enjoy your stream and we love our fans!"

The Detective chattered excitedly and gave the camera double thumbs up.

[Boogiepop]

Nari-chan

The v-personality kitsune beamed happily and soaked up the compliment. "Oh, wow! I didn't know Kitsune-sama was a fan! That makes me really happy and I'm even more glad to have you here! Hmmm, and it seems today we're going to play a game together, too! The Wilderness! It's recommended very much by many of my fans and I think it's a cult classic or something. This might be something up our alley! Eh? Eh?!" Nari-chan seemed to dart her gaze about to find approval in either Kiyoshi or the chat. Given how controlled the current stream was, it perhaps wouldn't be surprising if many of the people on said chat were planted to be there.

"I'm eager to get started and play with you! Let's gooo! Yoooosh!" With that, it seemed Nari-chan picked up a controller of her own and fiddled with the start menu so that they would get started in the game.

Both Kiyoshi and Nari would start off in an idyllic woodland lush wilderness with tall standing coniferous pine trees. There were grassy hills and sparkling lakes. It was currently bright and sunny. Nari would have her own avatar, made in the same likeness as her. Kiyoshi would have one too, although a bit less detailed as it was something that was made with the character generation than a custom job. They would both start off with axes in their hands.

"Ooooh, wow, so pretty! This reminds me so much of home! Have you been anywhere like this before, Kitsune-sama? When was the last time you went camping? Mm, no, actually! We're not camping here, we're going to be SURVIVING! We're going to be SURVIVORS! Have you ever done any surviving in the wilderness on your own? Hm? Hm?" Nari-chan looked eagerly for his answer as she circled around in her movement, getting used to the controls.

[Kitsune Kiyoshi]

"I grew up in a place like this." he answered. "In a village, of course. But, I did go camping."

He fiddled with the controller and his avatar spun about as he figured out what the buttons did. The Detective waved his arm and pointed at the screen.

"The Detective is from a place like this, too."

[Boogiepop]

Nari-chan

"Hm! Then you must be an expert at this place! Well, so am I, I'd like to think!" Nari-chan giggled at that declaration. "I'm sure we could just spend all of our time just hanging out there and getting to know each other but hmm..."

She paused as she seemed to notice something in the game and Kiyoshi likely would too. On the screen, there was an indicator of health and energy, as well as the time of day. There was a notice above that reminded the players that they needed to find or make a shelter before nightfall.

"Ohhh! I guess there is something we need to do in this game too. Find or make a shelter. And, let's see..." Nari-chan looked pensive as she went to the menu section and found there were some schematics for constructing a log cabin. "Hey! We could make something like this. That's pretty neat. It looks like a very pretty shelter. I'm sure we would be very comfortable here and maybe have a bit of tea together! Looks really cozy! Ehh? Did you go camping in something like this?"

Mechanics and Objectives
Both Kitsune Kiyoshi and Nari-chan have five actions each to construct a log cabin before nighttime!
• A log cabin can be built with a construction action by roll Engineering (Construction)/Intelligence or Craft (Carpentry)/Agility or Strength at a Cumulative TN of 100.
• However, their results are capped by the number of resources they have in hand, which must be done with a gathering action using Hunting (Survival)/Perception or Lore: Nature/Intelligence with no set Cumulative TN and each result will be turned into resources. These are also expended too.
• For example, rolling a gathering action and getting 23 resources first (and only having 23 resources between Kiyoshi and Nari-chan) then rolling a construction action and getting 35 will only result in 23 toward the Cumulative TN and they are back to 0 resources.

"Wooow, that's pretty interesting, Kitsune-sama and Detective-san. I think we can do this together! Hm...but how do you want to do this? You're the expert! Mm! Mm!" She bobbed her head excitedly.

[Kitsune Kiyoshi]

"No, we just used tents." he shook his head. "Or, sometimes we just slept beneath a good tree.. It looks like we need to gather materials first. Let's see what we can find, Nari-chan."

"Certainly, certainly." Sakura smiled and bobbed her head, observing the game for now. The pair seemed to have a natural energy, amplified by the Detective seemingly.

"Bayushi Kotone-sama is very diligent in her work, I see."

Nari-chan

"Oh, wow, tents? That's pretty neat but a tree?! What would you do if it starts raining? You'll get drenched! Ouu..." Nari-chan frowned cutely out of concern.

"Yes, let's get some materials! Let's see..." Nari-chan's avatar in the game paced around as she seemed more interested in exploring the space than doing any work. She found herself a tree and started whacking it with her axe to bring it down. The tree groaned after a few hits before slowly tumbling down and hitting the ground, instantly turning neatly into log items that could be picked up by either Kiyoshi or Nari-chan. "Whhhoooa, this game is very realistic!"

Seki crossed her arms and she passively watched the stream in session rather than fully looking at Sakura. "Of course, she had to be to remain in this line of work. That's by design than an accident as I only surround myself with diligent and competent people."

Sakura nodded simply. "Certainly, certainly, Bayushi-sama exudes confidence and competence after all. So, can I ask how Nari-chan the concept came to be?"

[Kitsune Kiyoshi]

"With the right tree, you can stay off the wet ground." he explained as he continued harvesting wood. "The rain won't fall directly on you and you can make something above you to protect you more."

"I can keep gathering wood, Nari-chan, if you want to try building." he suggested. "Would you like to ho camping?"

"You might have to talk to her designers, they're the ones who designed her look, personality, and wrote up her backstory. I just oversee the production of the streams and ensure everything is running properly so that we have a consistent show. That would help if Nari-chan could commit to a regular schedule, which she cannot." She gave a dismissive shake of her head on the matter.

Seki sighed. "It is what it is. Thankfully, Nyoko-chan has been more consistent, which the fans appreciate very much above her other assets."


Nari-chan

"Ooooh, that's right! Kitsune-sama is so resourceful! I have should guess, mm! Mm!" Nari-chan happily nodded on that note as she quickly busied herself with whacking another tree with her axe. "It doesn't look like it's raining now but maybe we can build something like that in the game later! Keeping dry is very important! Getting my hair and fur wet is not fun at all, no, no!"

"Eh? Oh! Sorry about that, I guess I can do that next." She nodded before walking off to a clear part of the map. "I haven't done much camping recently but I'd like to! They have some neat patches of wilderness where you can rent a camp for a few days but I know that's not the same, hehe...Are there any worlds that Kitsune-sama would recommend?"

"Inari's Cradle is the one I'm most familiar with and I've never been to another world that quite matched it's natural beauty." he answered. "But, the rental camps you mentioned can be nice, too. Being isolated out in the wild isn't for everyone."

He paused as he gathered the remaining materials.

"To many, part of the appeal of camping is being disconnected from everything. Being just you and nature, with no communicators, no computers, no streams. Well, there are actual streams, with water." he chuckled. "But, not everyone likes that. Who wants to miss Nari-chan's latest stream? Or, new episodes of a Detective series? Renting those camps can let you stay in touch, while letting you experience nature in a more comfortable way."
