The unimpressed orochi stared ahead blankly for a moment while Hinata tried to remember things.

"The sake tasting. I don't remember too much about that one. Oh I think I talked to a Lion . . . "

Rei gave him some time. Maybe he had too much of a reliance on facial cues. It was hard looking at this mask...

"Do you remember which Lion? Was it Akodo-sama?" Smiling, he raised his glass to the nearby familiar figure. "Or perhaps Kitsu-san?"

The costumes and masks made it a little harder, as did Hinata's own restricted vision through his own mask. The Orochi effectively side eyed Rei while looking at the two indicated Lions.

Her narrowed eyes brought a faint smile on his lips, Mineichi making a mental note on how she had reacted, that little tidbit of information stored should he need it later. "Last Judgement. Very fitting." he nodded, seemingly satisfied with her answer. "I was just curious..." he murmured, licking his lips. "..what you would find impressive." A short pause. "To know Princess a little better, yes. I can only claim to know you that well." While they had shared some intimacy and while he had some idea of the person Yakumo was supposed to be, Mineichi could hardly say he knew her. He defiantly hadn't expected to find this side in her - but then again, Yakumo was a star. Chances were that she knew her worth. "Maybe you can return the favor later?" he offered, smiling still.

Rei considered possible questions, based not only on what he wanted to know, but what he thought Hinata would be able to answer. It wasn't a long list.

"Well, in two nights time, mayhaps?" Mineichi replied, leaning closer, his voice soft. "As it happens, I have things to tend to, even if I would rather have my paws elsewhere. Oh my paws, they could end in so so many places. Yet, alas, poor Herbalist has to tend to his duties." he added, faking a 'sad' tone. "Perhaps Princess will wait a little, yes?"

"Such hardworking paws deserve to do something but work on occassion," she tittered underneath her mask, coyly looking down to his hands for a brief moment. "Twilight can return again - in two nights time."

"Oh yes..." Mineichi murmured rather greedily while maintaining the veneer of civility. Not that everyone managed as well - Yakumo could likely spy two Scorpions that were rather busy making out in a distant corner, either pretending that no-one saw them or then deriving perverse pleasure from being seen. "Herbalist will wait for his Princess. I do have something particular in mind."

"I think she was interested in how the Crane assign courtiers to courts or something . . . or she was trying to find out where the rest of the boys were this Winter."

The orochi's snout looked down at the drink in his hand and just for a moment folks might have thought we were about to be graced with another bout of straw-up-nose-jutsu . . . when Hinata remembered to raise the mask and drink under it.

"Ugh this is soooooo inconvenient. How do Scorpion put up with this all the time?"

Clearly, some shopping is in order. The gears began to click in her mind and merchants somewhere had a shivering feeling and went to check their stocks.

"Or perhaps the burning one is a symbolic electronic phoenix? And Mr. Brightside is a discussion on lightness and dark? And the vampire...well she really seems quite committed to being a vampire, that one."

"Those are good options, though I question setting your own costume on fire seems a bit suicidal, no?" he said, changing his interest to a few of the other participants, "What do you think of the ninja wannabe?" and he pointed to Usagi Rei, "or The Darkness That Slithers Through Dreams" and pointed to Kazumi. "Both very dramatic costumes, though I liked the performance of the latter better."

"It is not a tactic I would have chosen, but it does ensure that she remains unforgettable. That would be deeply useful to some." She glanced at the others he indicated. "The ninja....could have used some more subtlety. And the Darkness slithering through Dreams is intriguing but I am not entirely sure what it means." She shrugs. He wanted to leaver her both curious and eager, not quite able to resistant the urge to play the games his peers were playing, though on a more personal level. "Though, let me check one thing. Princess is not opposed to classical arts, is she?"

He wanted to leaver her both curious and eager, not quite able to resistant the urge to play the games his peers were playing, though on a more personal level. "Though, let me check one thing. Princess is not opposed to classical arts, is she?"

That got a curious look from her, as she considered the possibilities. "I'm not, no. I do like most forms of art."

Most people often made up their minds when talking about Edge of Darkness but an apology, what sort of strange swerve was this? Wait. This had to be Scorpion trickery. Actually, her mind immediately latched onto something she read between the lines. Or so she thought!

She gave her a dismissive roll of her eyes and groaned in disgust. "Uggh! Whatever. Also, not a nerd, by the way. Lame nerds look to get loot drops and watch people's dice all day. I'm all about accumulating power so that I can puppet my way out of any situation, there's a difference!"

Whoever he is should definitely think about his costume a little beforehand, as far as our Medusa is concerned," he put a hand on the mask where his chin should be, "If you take the legend into account, then it could either mean that she makes everyone she lets get too close to her, or that she feels very isolated in a world full of samurai. After all, everyone who sees her turns to stone."

"Don't get me wrong, Kuni san, a well built character and good rp are way more important, but as a community we should be more open to new players and whether we want it or not dice rolling and loot dropping is what will initially attract the new players into the game. You can't expect a noob to be an expert player, you have to lure them in, ease their way into the game before they understand that they actually have to study if they are to keep playing."
