[D5 EA] Jail-bird blues (CLOSED)
Even as Osamu sits on his rather spartan, if comfortable holding cell, his weapons confiscated for the time being, he can hear someone singing all too loudly somewhere in distance. That someone is rather pissed with his circumstances, using his free time and artistic talent to conjure a rather catching tune.
It's been a long time travelling
On roads that lead to nowhere,
With hopes and dreams that always rot.
Sometimes it takes a prison cell, the tricks and tales the ronin tell
To help you see that freedom is all you've got.
If I had to do it over, I'd do it all again.
The wind don't cower to powerful men.
So lock me up and sock me up, and throw away the key.
Go fuck yourself, you trueborn son,
'Cause you're through fuckin' with me.
The beautiful voice is soon muffled by sounds of rather indiscriminate violence, the distorted echoes making it sound like someone big and angry was whacking someone else with a shamisen.

The righteous need not cower before the drumbeat of human progress. Though the song of yesterday fades into the challenge of tomorrow, the Fortunes still watch and judge us. Evil lurks in the datalinks as it lurked in the alleys of yesteryear. But it was never the alleys that were evil.

"That's not a bad song. You have some talent." Osamu calls out. "Where did you learn it?" After all, he had nothing better to do, and was not so musically inclined.

Sometime later, after the sounds of violence had died out, a rather upset young woman strode into the room, channeling air kami as she pushed the door back, the thick plastisteel door groaning as it was almost torn from its hinges.
Huffing, a rather upset Isawa looked at Osamu, thunderstorm brewing in her eyes. The Scorpion bushi that had escorted her to jail was looking at the door, her mouth wide open, trying to make sense of the situion.
"Asako-san, Yes?" Isawa Akari, the Phoenix Ambassador to World of Dreams, asked. What in the name of ALL the flipping thousand and eight Fortunes are you doing here. What were you thinking." Huffing, she continued her tirade, not leaving Osamu time to explain himself. "What sort of cretin are you? Were your parents arthropods?... uh.. no-disrespect..." Akari added, glancing at the direction of the guardswoman who was still staring at the door. "What sort of imbecilic idiot would... argh... The young woman stomped the ground, agitating the air kami that danced around her, causing her dark hair flutter in the air for a moment. "Why am I here. Asako-san. Explain. Why am I here and not sipping my deluxe triple-pearl bubble tea. WHY?"

"Greetings Isawa-sama." Osamu bows at the arrival of his ambassador. Whether or not he disdained the game, that he at least made efforts to play it had always been a necessity. "I thank you for your arrival, and beg pardon for this inconvenience. Whatever oaths you wish upon myself or my parents for it are understandable, considering the circumstance."
Osamu dares to look up, doing his best to continue in a calm tone. "It would appear that my travel permit was in arrears."

"In the name of Blessed Shiba, you DARE to protest!" Akari screeched, fury brimming in her eyes. "Not only you do not answer my question, but you also try to lie? Have you no shame? Have you forgotten what your sensei taught you, you irredeemable miniscule slug!" This time she offered no apologies - after all, slug clan did not exist. "What in the name of ALL the Fortunes gave you the idea to get your hands on fake papers! And then, then stroll into the gate! What were you thinking." She huffed. "No wait. I know. You were not thinking! Isn't that correct you deviant dirt-eating little tadpole!" The air kami still danced around Akari, her hair coiling around her head like a nest of angry vipers. "Kneel!"

Akari huffed, crossing her arms. "I will inform your lord on what happened. They might be in touch with you." she noted, her voice as cold as ice. "I have no idea what they see in someone like you, but luckily you do not serve me. Anyway. I have paid the Scorpion to brush matters under the carpet - there won't be a court case. I hope you realize how lucky you are, you slimy worthless cretin? You are wasting not only clan resources, but also good air someone decent might breath!"
"Now get your lying ass off the floor and come with me." she beckoned the man to follow. "Next time, I'll let you rot here for two weeks before I send for you - and should I catch you doing something stupid myself, I am going to send your head in a bag to your lord, along with a very very neatly written letter of apology. I assume I am understood?" The Scorpion guard that had escorted Akari looked rather pale, busy trying not to gawk. Her impression on Phoenix had been shattered, the poor young woman muttering prayers to Fortunes under her breath. "Come, Trash-kun. We are leaving." The Phoenix ambassador would escort Osamu out of the cell, an embassy car waiting for him at the gates of the jail.
