Fun scene with you and me and Airi!

Can you tell us a bit about Koroshi? What went into him? What went into playing him? He was certainly a unique individual.

Koroshi is fundamentally a true believer. He is the only son of two politically matched Otomo who let him watch too much TV. His belief in Bushido is absolute, because in many ways it is all he has to explain his identity. He identifies as a samurai, and has high levels of neurotic traits which express themselves by flamboyant displays and a strong desire to enforce harmony. He has very little consideration for the welfare of others, because his attention is all on the proper path or place. To use an an example, Koroshi would feel very bad about harming a heimin directly, much worse than he would about harming say a ronin. Because it would be like animal cruelty, and a violation against Compassion is a much bigger issue than a violation against Courtesy. The glimmerstone plot was directly the kind of thing that would trigger his anxiety, souls not going to the right plane is a complete fuck up of the Celestial Order.

As far as what went in to playing him...it is difficult to play Koroshi without feeling upbeat. So I didn't post as much as I would want.

Uh, I do have a list of points where I would bring up something. Like if anyone had asked what Koroshi's favorite color was: pink because there was this girl he had a crush on who had pink hair. Is there anything in particular that you would like to know?

My fellow imperial, it was an honour! *bows*
I like the scene with Koroshi, it was also a kind of akward state, talking to a "true" imperial who had lower status than the "married-in" imperial!
Too bad we couldn't do much with our ressources, but gave our best!

Koroshi certainly seemed like a... character, watching him from a (safe) distance. :lol: I kept wondering if he was colorblind, or had a compulsion to dress like a fashion-crime. ^^;

What went into the creation of Koroshi to come up with the flamboyant shugenja? How did the idea come to you and what was the inspiration?
