Unlike Koyuki, I have very little to hide. Ask away!

So is Koyuki leaving with any of those backstory disadvantages paid off/resolved?

Koyuki's vibe worked really well with World of Dreams...there was a noir/Bladrunner sort of edge there. At least from what I managed to read!

Love Koiyuki and her player is amazing, but boy howdy is she complex.

I'd kinda like to know the full story of her getting left behind on the planet and just what happened to Moriko there (I have have spelled that right) While I don't think you know the actual resolution, I'd love to hear your best guesses as to what happened.

And thank you for playing! I'm sorry I couldn't get the Crab into at least 3rd place, even the strongest build is no match for lucky at dice.

Will Koyuki come see her new favorite couple after they move?

Thank you oh so very much! I certainly was aiming to build Koyuki as much to theme for this environment as possible, and so I'm really happy to hear she came across that way!

Lost Love is the one I'm looking at to pay off. While the situation with Moriko isn't resolved, the events of this game have definitely given her enough personal growth to overcome how much the betrayal overwhelms her.

Thank you!

Koyuki was a part of a squad serving in the Crab Expeditionary forces.

Squad Leader: Yasuki Rikako
Members:
Hida Tatsunosuke (Twin below)
Hida Toma (Twin above)
Kuni (Meishozo) Koyuki
Hiruma Moriko

On one fateful mission they were ambushed by a corrupted beastie that in the opening bout knocked Koyuki senseless. Coming to when Toma was already killed, and Rikako was on her way out. Blacking out again, she sees the creature about to finish her off when she hears Tats' final battlecry as he finished off the beastie and succumbs to his wounds himself.

Koyuki awakes hours later, alone. Moriko was supposed to be with them, but she wasn't.

I didn't explicitly declare why Moriko abandoned the team in the backstory to give some flexibility in crafting her and a story around her. However, the most sensible human option presented was simply that she got scared because that event is absolutely terrifying to live through. Moriko took their shuttle to return home, and reported the rest of her team dead. Moriko goes off to fulfill a previous marriage obligation.

3 years later, Koyuki is found alive and the deception is revealed. Crab don't wanna sour things with Scorpion, so it all gets brushed under the rug.

And no worries. I found more enjoyment in just getting to play out the exchange scenes with you than any win woulda given me. Thank you for all the time spent writing together!

Koyuki would most certainly love to make sure her (--kids--) favorite couple are doing alright and settling in at home well!

Thank you for playing and I definitely enjoyed seeing Koyuki around! I think the number is rather appropriate, considering how she easily shared her contact information with both my main NPCs. Sumie probably wouldn't have taken it because she thinks that sharing contact information should only happen if there's something cool or edgy involved. Only look her up if you want moonshine, absinthe, or a body to disappear. Kthx.

There were plenty of cool moments, the Eriko and Koyuki Kuni-to-Kuni chat and also Koyuki stumbling onto Mariko's secret plan! None of those are planned but most certainly pleased with how they happen to pan out.

It was getting down to the wire on Day 11 regarding the potential resolution of Moriko's plot. I think what happened most certainly gave a tidbit of a bigger story on the otherside. I'm kind of curious about Koyuki's reaction to what happened, was it because she felt that she left Moriko behind so to speak or was it the mysterious ending that got her upset?

I love(d) both of those scenes very much! They had fun little vibes to them each, and both got the inquisitive (Kuni) Koyuki treatment which was fun to play.

There was a LOT to Koyuki's reaction! A little bit of both of those things, but more the mystery than the other. With everything that was going on in her head, Yakumo and Moriko both, Koyuki found a lot of strength in being able to write certain things off. Strength for writing Moriko off came a lot from the idea that Moriko's situation was largely the result of her own decision. A decision that Moriko made to leave Koyuki behind instead of being willing to risk for her the way Koyuki would have risked for Moriko.

Those footsteps, and the presence of another person in Moriko's framework breaks Koyuki's mental construction of events as they were. Giving that proof that there's something there which she didn't and couldn't have accounted for. Meaning that she could be wrong about everything, and making it so that she no longer feels capable of simply writing Moriko off. Koyuki was so ready to just walk away from her and be done but now she's worried about her again because even when she wants to sever her connection to someone she finds it incredibly hard not to care once that bond has been made.

Oh, Koyuki. Rei trusted her, was bothered and confused by her. In other words, a great buddy cop pairing.

After everything that's happened here, what do you see in her future?

Before the Moriko situation. Koyuki was going to take more time to herself, and actually follow one of her early life passions to travel and see the Empire at large. (This is why she signed up to join the Expeditionary forces) However, with Moriko, she'll find herself compelled to chasing that lead and seeing what she might be able to uncover.

Whether those efforts are for her own peace of mind, or ultimately saving Moriko from something, she needs to know for herself that she at least tried.

If she has to bump around to different planets in the Empire to do so, that'd be a win win. Ultimately, her primary goal is being there for those she care's about. Yakumo and Moriko, despite any and all complications, still hold their places in her heart. Rei too, but- not quite as much.

Ah, Koyuski.

Who will she bum off cigarettes if Rei isn't around?

Our brief interactions were more formal/functional than RP ones, but I still liked them :)

I enjoyed them for what they were! They had a very interesting kind of business vibe to them, but with also that little hidden bit of care for "this person who helped me out once." Was a different dynamic than most and for that I very much appreciated it!

And uh.. no idea! She might try quitting again 8-)

Ah Koyuki, Yakumo's muse! :D

Thanks for the great scenes. Always a pleasure writing and playing with you, and thank you so much for being someone unexpected for Yakumo to be able to bounce off of.

How did Koyuki feel about being called a muse, and possibly continuing being a muse to the Empire's biggest star who also happens to be one of her lovers? 8-) What made her latch on so quickly to Yakumo?

Thank you!! Much the same, I love any chance I have for writing and playing with you! Scenes with Yakumo and Koyuki were always an unexpected delight, and I adore them all. Unexpectedly strong bond between them I didn't expect I woulda found!

As noted a few places, Koyuki's pretty fond of singing! Feminine voices being a preference and particular draw for her, and so having a incredibly skilled singer find her to be an inspiration for said music is something she would and will consider an honor impossible to live up to. Being one of her lovers as well being one of those rare honors, even if she'll always have that tinge of melancholy over 'what could have been' she'll be happy for every second she got.

That last question is a doozy. Condensing it a little, bonds formed in times of trial form quicker and if well made are often stronger than others. For Koyuki this time on WoD was probably her greatest emotional trial. Finally prepped and primed to contend with the emotional scars that were left from the ultimate betrayal of her trust and belief that Moriko would always be there for her the way she would always be there for Moriko.

Yakumo, of course, was a pretty big component of this whole endeavor and considering their chemistry made for that sort of hefty bond, and in many ways crutch/reliance. Notably, as well, Yakumo is a foil for Koyuki early on. Yakumo has a limited number of years and so wants to live as much of life as she can. Koyuki has all the time in a normal span of life, but had lost in interest in pursuing a life. Early on neither of them wanted to think about the future, Yakumo because she was afraid of recognizing that she wouldn't have one and Koyuki because she didn't want it. Creating that interesting and tumultuous 'we are the same but also completely different.'

Those, I believe, are the strongest factors as to how that strong latching on happened!

As my final note! Koyuki will be a far healthier individual for all of the love, caring, and heartbreak that came from their relationship. Had anything changed she might not have grown nearly as much over the course of the game.

So, again, thank you for endeavoring down their relationship with me. Was a true pleasure to experience :)

Sadly I don't think the Crane are going to let you adopt Hinata.

I shall have to accept this situation.

HOWEVER

If they fail him they're gonna have the angriest Kuni to explain why they failed to. Cause a mom gotta do what a mom gotta do.

I know we didn't interact at all during the game; but it's always fun to see you play, and I really enjoyed reading your scenes.

I... don't think I have any questions. <3
