The morning sun dispels the light mists that had gathered during the night and by the noon the air outside is uncomfortably hot, causing people to seek shelter indoors. The spirit-powered air conditioning struggles to keep the buildings cool, the air kami moaning and whining in protest much to the annoyance of the shugenja able to hear their whispers. As the sun sets, the Scorpion samurai flock to the artificial islands, drinking chilled sake and carousing with their friends.

The Well
A cursed ancient tape circulates around a small town where all who watch it will die at the hands of a dead spirit in a few days. A mother and her son visit the town after settling the affairs of a relative who died of the same curse. While performing an investigation, she inadvertently ends up watching the same tape with her son and is given 7 days to live. In a desperate bid to save their lives, she acts quickly to discover the origin of the tape and the curse, hopefully, the stop the spirit before her time runs out. " She sighed with her ears dropping down. Then suddenly, the feed starts to distort and jumble.
