Relevant skills for The Gate (5k4) and The Portrait Puzzle (6k4). Since both rolls in The Incantation Puzzle are Intelligence-based, possibly the most apt for this one even if unskilled (4d10).

Going from mostly AFK to fully AFK for the next six hours or so, so don't count on me for elaborating a brilliant strategy in the immediate future (this is more the Akodo thing anyway). I guess it's relatively safe to begin with everyone good rolls requiring no assistance though?

Start with our best and then see what time we need to make up? Do to being in a fight later i am saving my VP. Even so 6k3 cumulative vs the Battle should be 2-3 time units. With the fight i plan to go FA and max rolls for damage

Reki should probably focus on the Fighting Puzzle right from the start since she's basically on her own here (support won't change much, and no one else has the skills).

Since the Shogi roll is purely cumulative, I feel like it might be a good idea for Kazumi to attempt it even with 3k2 (and maybe Yuji too if he's also rolling 3k2?). A good roll is still possible, and basically every roll is huge progress.

I feel like Kanna should give a try at the Portrait on the first round. This one is not cumulative, but she could theoretically pass it, and if she does we would have quite the headstart.

The Mirror is actually interesting in that there are basically two approaches:
Send absolutely anyone and hope for a lucky roll (same pool on both sides, so a coin toss chance of passing). => Min 1 Time Unit
Send the person with the highest ring but without the skill, and have someone assist them so to exploit the fact the doppelganger dice do not explode. => Min 2 Time Units
I vote for the first approach personally. Highest reward, and risk not that higher (the second approach still has a non negligible chance of failure and consume twice as much time units). Also, can basically be attempted at any time if a character's attention is not required anywhere else.

The Crank seems like a trap for our team of noodle arms.

As for the Incantation:
All-in strategy: One high Int character, one cheerleader for skill, four raises.
Safish strategy: Two high Int characters + two cheerleaders, two rolls with two raises each.
I'm again in favor of the aggressive strategy IF the roller has a Void point to spare for the +1k1.

Double checking on shogi (I'm bringing Int 3, Perception 3, Void 3, and Awareness 4. Though perception rolls suffer -1k1 for me).

6k3 on the Battle/Perception, so I can switch to it after the Oni. I got a solid hit on the first strike, the rest will be at 4k2 because I am going to keep the easy hit

So took a chunk out of the Shogi but with 3k2 its all luck if I keep hammering it.

I have int 4 and 3 Void left I could pretty reliably do at least one of the checks on the incantation with 2 raises

If so, even unskilled, they might might be able to help with the Fighting Puzzle.

For the Incantation Puzzle, I'm in favor of someone with Int 4 (so either Kanna or Kazumi) to give a try at the 4 raises at once with Void for +1k1 and someone else to grant them the skill (since the rules of the puzzle allows raising as much as we want). With 6k5, TN35 is hard but not impossible, and two all-at-once attempts consume as much time units as two safish attempts, with more chances to succeed quickly.

Damn, except for Reki who's getting all the 1, we're lucky so far.

And the worst thing? Her courageous fight against the oni might have been for nothing. If we're to attempt the 11 or less success, the optimal strategy might be for her to shift to the shogi puzzle and try to clear all the remaining 29 in one go (the TN reduction is better than for the oni).

If she does pass all in one go, I'm in favor of Yuji granting assistance and then Kanna attempting a YOLO 7k5 against a TN45 on the door. If it works, it works. If it doesn't, no issue, Kazumi can then work on the crank tranquilly, Reki can return to the oni after that etc.
