No.

Second attempts on Skill Rolls utilizing Intelligence or Perception usually cannot be made without a change in the situation, such as new information becoming available to the character.

The rules as written do not allow people to spam the same roll until they pass. Either you can do it, or you cannot.

Obviously I 100% agree you can't just keep rolling lore at the same time and place over and over and over, but it felt really odd to me that you couldn't go away for a day then come back and try again as that seemed pretty normal to me. I assumed the 'can't roll again' was for the immediate, not forever - as the investigation lets you do the reattempt immediately

'Trying the same encyclopedia the next day' is not really 'different circumstance' is it?

So to clarify, looking in a different location (aka doing an online search in Spider embassy or in a different location library vs doing a library search in minor clan embassy) does not count as a change of situation?

Unless you find significantly different source of information, no. Minor clan embassy is one of the best libraries on the planet. You might able to go to the Scorpion and their data-repositories, but they also might tell you to sod off.

For all the Firefly, does Firefly bushi 1 trigger for the Fighting Puzzle? Wasn't sure if it counts as cramped space.

Additionally, when fighting in cramped space, such as a cave, dense forest, or within a ship, you gain a bonus of +1k0 on all of your attack rolls
