Okay! About 7 TU left in the puzzle. We could spend maybe the next few turns assisting for +3k0 and do the gate (finishing at 18TU for +0.2 Glory, option A) or just go for the whole thing and +6k0 and do the gate (finishing at exactly 18TU for +0.1 Glory, option B).

Dai and Koroshi are left in the 'round'. Maybe even an option C...

So I say we boost Koroshi (since I have to go this round and I don't think I can boost myself) and try again.

Ok used my actions to boost Koroshi so he has +2 phantom ranks of Commerce.

We can either risk it now for 15 or have Sumie and Shigure boost as well and go for a more solid chance of under 18.

Dai is fine as long as we get out so I'm good either way.

Providing Assistance and Looking for Clues (universal actions)
Instead of attempting a puzzle, any character may use their Time Unit action on their turn to provide assistance or look for further clues. This will provide the next player making a skill roll with a phantom skill point. This can provide a skill rank to an unskilled character, add a phantom rank on top of existing skill ranks or other phantom skill ranks (such as those provided by advantages like Sage). Dice will explode on these checks, as they would with any skilled roll.

Not quite the same as the corebook assist.
